First vow:

1 Deathwing squad with a chainfist and an assaultcannon.

All fresh from spue from the DV box. smile.png

I have the following 4 vows already planned, and scraped their bits together. Depending on how fast the first (and second) vow goes, I will go all the way in with 5 for a pointtotal of 1250.

I'd like to thank Dirrain and facmanpob for all their advise and help to get me to a decent armylist. smile.png

So, you can see a box of plastic, a home-brew Belial who needs some GS love, my first DW squad and a rhino and razorback to be painted later.

Meanwhile, the terminators have been undercoated white and have theri fisrt layer of paint on them.

Also, my daughter painted an Azrael,... I wonder if it is a viable contribution to the ETL..? smile.png

I vote that your daughter should make an account, provide a vow, and claim points.

Need an award for "youngest painter".

i wonder how my 4 year old would do...  Can you pain 40K figures with finger paints?  ^_^

Belial's head and chest, are they Grey Knight parts? Also that razorback looks so much better with the turret at the front. I wonder how much damage I would do if I retro-fitted mine like that?

You can get it more forward facing by rotating the hatch plate forward, I think, but if you modify the model, you lose both of the smaller hatches and your spot where you'd normally mount a Stormbolter of the like.

Might be a fun conversion though.... hrmmm....

I dont think this qualifies actually, and she's 5 years old. smile.png

Not too bad..! I can always use it as a 'relic' or something in a game.

I am finishing my first vow, the DV Terminators. Assembly line style, too.

Question; is there on the B&C a decent step-by-step tutorial on how to mix-and-match the DV terminators, preferbly with themselves? I dont think I'd like a duplicate squad, in exactly the same poses.

There's no tutorial, but I've done 2 DV squads and the only model that's replicated is the chainfist guy.....

With this squad I built them as they came, apart from one of the "twins" with the power fists. With the model on the left of the photo I chopped off his power fist flush with the side of the torso (taking care with the bit where it joins to the purity seals at his waist) and trimmed off the peg on the right shoulder. I then just added twin lightning claws from an assault terminator box

This is the squad I'm working on at the moment.....

The two guys on the left are the "twins". Again I trimmed the left arm and right shoulder peg off, and have added 2xLC from the DWCS box and a TH/SS that I had lying around. Very little work is needed for these guys except some trimming and a little bit of gs in case of an over-zealous blade! The guy in the middle is the assault cannon dude. All I did there was try the various storm bolters until 1 fit reasonably well, then added a little gs on the inside of the armpit, to fill a gap. The chainfist dude is the same as the other squad. The guy that required most work was the sergeant. I chopped off his sword arm at the wrist, then added the left handed storm bolter from the DWCS box, using some gs to fill the gaps. The right arm is rotated upwards and chopped at the wrist, and then I've added the sword from the DWCS box...

Thanks, will see what I can do with this.

Thinking of cutting/glueing 1 squad of them and taking them on my holiday (1 week) soon, perhaps I can finish them in the evening... Not having access to a laptop or the 'net can certainly help me finish some models, right? :)

First vow finished!

Final base highlight will be done when I finished more of them, to tie them up together.

TT 'quality', well maybe close to that. Like Isaid somewhere else, I like building better than painting. Espescially the final details...

Halfway:

Finished:

Decent enough.

First vow finished, next vow... to be decided, soonish. smile.png

Cheers all!
