Hello Bolter&Chainsword! My name is Nevetz and I'm actually new here. I approached to your shores seeking of knowledge, sharing my work and my opinions with you in exchange.

First of all I have to say that I work and I travel the world for it, so there wil be maybe times of suspension of works but be not aware! Planes I take never crashed and I hope my Elysian gunships will never have such end. In fact I started in the last days building up a list of Elysian and started working on my first Vendetta. Paint scheme is a desert/rusty one, and I'll explain better the background later. Here are the first stages of the work:

Basecoat:

First drybrush:

First details:

Aaaaand its everything for now. I can work on Warhammer only 1/2 hours a day, so expect little but daily progresses smile.png

Cheers!

I love the fact that you have troops on your flyer's base. Nice little addition thumbsup.gif

Thanks, since the kind of army I'm going to build (mostly for on-the-tabletop aesthetics) I wanted to add here and there some touches of personalization. Since sadly true resin Elysians cost really too much (and also the delivery isn't something istant) I am working on modifying Veterans with hazardous equipment such as respirators, backpacks, etc mostly from forgeworld/green stuff and various other bits.

I'm also gathering the materials for the 2nd base, but I'm not telling what or it gets too simple :)

Looking great so far brother, keep up the good work!

Thank you very much :)

Hello again, here are the updates on this evening. I continue weathering the vehicle body applying also the first decals on the red. For the wings, I'm stil waiting for ForgeWorld's Vendetta decal sheet to apply the 2 large white wings over the model, to then apply the same weathering on it too.

Like the weathering, how do you do it?

I started with a basecoat of XV88, then started applying layers of brybrushes using always lighter browns (pure colors and mixes), for example the last 3 stages were: Baneblade brown, 50/50 Baneblade brown/Ushbati bone, Ushbati bone. This gave the model a better overall surface with more detailed shapes for the weathering process. The weathering itself (that it isn't still complete ad the moment) is done by using Dark Driad applied with a sponge (like the one found in the metal blisters or porta-miniatures bags) in some point softly (like on the sides of the cargo bay) otherwhere with a heavier touch (like behind the engines). In the end, I found a good result in dragging the sponge under the vehicle, from the head to the tail, giving it the look of "motion blur'd" dirt.

Hope I was clear :)

Love the engines - they look rugged and relaible! biggrin.png Belly looks fantastic too. My only comment would be the film of the aquila transfer... Maybe some matte varnish there?

Yeah these engines must have seen many troubles! For the transfer I already layered 2 times with 'Ardcoat but it still has that reflecting shine from some angles... anyway this is a "test model" and while making it I had the chanse to see what to do before and after the weathering. Next gunships will surely look better :)

Nice work, the Vendetta looks great. The weathering isn't too over powering or subtle and works well. I love the Guardsmen on the base too, though it might look a little odd when it is flying over enemy lines tongue.png

Thank you! And be assured, nothing will look odd then there will be 30 infiltrating veterans and 6 gunships deploying an entire platoon among the enemies ;)

Thank you Ch@oZ :)

I've started working omn the base, painting some base colors. The Guardsmen will have a brown clothing and a Codex Grey armor. Ranking design will be as the official Elysian one, with Yellow and Red stripes depending on the rank.

Hello again. I've been busy in the past days finishing my Elysian list and gathering ideas for it and for painting the models. My FW order has arrived (Vendetta decal sheet is incredible!) and for now I got assembled together the Command Squad (with already 2 long range ground scanner out of 3 totals)

How can't you don't love 'em?

You work quickly! Just as well because I'm keen to see them all finished tongue.png Keep up the good work smile.png

4 Vendettas, 2 Vultures and a Valkyrie... just.. just don't let me think I've painted only 1,5 Vendetta so far :P

And.. well I painted it some more

PS: sorry for the bad quality pics, but probably as you can see my paint station is a real mess and I just take pics of the table :P I'll of course take better shots when I'll have finished this Vendetta
