Khornestar
so you dont think it be too much of a imersion break to go with grey instead of red? IMO continuity between your 30k and 40k armies would increase immersion. Consider that out of hundreds of thousands (or whatever) of heresy era legionnaires, we've had a minority described to us directly. Who's to say your slice of that pie is wrong? I think there could be no greater way to forge the proverbial narrative than to take ownership of the background and create an army's story over a 10,000+ year span, the way you've done. Some might feel this is "doing it wrong" and that's not an invalid point of view, but to me it seems strange to take the fluff of a fictional universe so seriously that one thinks there is even a right or wrong way to begin with. Khornestar
The warmaster surely has the resources to keep a vast collection of cloaks. ;) "It's Monday, Abaddon. As for the trim vs fluff I like it both ways. thamier 1 Back to top
JeffTibbetts
I haven't read this plog in a while (the shame, I know...) but I have to say: I was totally digging your conversion work on the BaC dreads. Really great reposes, and surprisingly removing the ornamentation made them look so different! Then I saw the trim and my eyes dang near popped out of my head. Really, jaw-droppingly well done. I especially love the way the chaos star wraps around that one shoulder. Just stunning work, as usual. Stunning. thamier 1 Back to top

Khornestar
Awesome. Perfect to park some barrage artillery behind so they can rain some death unimpeded. thamier 1 Back to top

Khornestar
It seems like one of the few worthwhile fortifications, as well.
Augustus b'Raass
It is, quite frankly. A mate ran it alongside a necron decurion detachment. Not fun. It's still an awesome miniature, though, and I'm sure thamier will do it killer justice. :tu:

Thousand Eyes
Impressive to see them all lined up like and the amount of work that must have gone into changing all the legs. Let alone the extra work on the dreads. Bravo on the extra detailing. thamier 1 Back to top
thamier
thanks mate, its not all of the legs that are changed tough, so it should be a good mix Thousand Eyes 1 Back to top
Urauloth
That extra work is extremely impressive and your skill at doing that definitely doesn't make me jealous at all. ;) The leg reposes on the tacticals look great, if you get the time I'd love to know more about the process involved and maybe see a wip shot or two. The contemptors are absolutely stunning - that one with the chain, second from the left in the group pic, he's so dynamic it's hard to believe he started life as the BaC model.
