thamier
Only remembered this after Traitor mentioned the cow skull thing and I'm not sure if this'll help much but the old warhammer fantasy skeletons use to have a cow skull with separate horns among other things in the sprue. Alternate horn types for the Reaver helmets could make them stand out a bit more (although that might end up making them look comical). Really enjoying seeing where you take your Sons of Horus. Speaking of those old "cow skulls" Soric mentioned, I think I have quite a few of them left, in case you're interested? thanks guys but i have some of those in my bitzbox, they come with normal horns or ramshorns, gonna have a look at it :)

KrautScientist
I feel rather vindicated, seeing that Librarian's staff, as it does indeed work 100% better without the skull :) It's a lovely model all around, although I cannot help wondering whether the staff arm would work better if it were straight instead of bent at the elbow, and facing away from the body a bit more... Augustus b'Raass
Wow, that hood looks amazing! :d Great job as well on the staff. I think you did the right thing following Kraut's suggestion. :tu:
Col.hertford
Fantastic job. Taking the skull of the staff takes it down a notch on the chaos meter. That hood is brilliant too! As are the details. Great progress on all fronts!
thamier
Something to aspire to with your green stuff sculpting, well played. one can always get better, so I need to practice more. I feel rather vindicated, seeing that Librarian's staff, as it does indeed work 100% better without the skull :) It's a lovely model all around, although I cannot help wondering whether the staff arm would work better if it were straight instead of bent at the elbow, and facing away from the body a bit more... that's why I ask what you guys think ;) and as for staff pose, I like it planted gives the model weight, also if both arm and staff is pointing out it might look silly Wow, that hood looks amazing! :d Great job as well on the staff. I think you did the right thing following Kraut's suggestion. :tu: thanks man, and think I should have the staff pointing out too? Fantastic job. Taking the skull of the staff takes it down a notch on the chaos meter. That hood is brilliant too! As are the details. Great progress on all fronts! thanks! I agree it is way better without the skull, and had alot of fun with the hood Col.hertford 1 Back to top
DaBoiKyknos
Awesome sculpting as always! Will you leave the librarians/ sorcerors like that or will you add details to make them look more chaotic? Edit: Just read that those are 30k sons of Horus, maybe that answers my question... or not? The Dreadclaw and even the Kharybdis count as a drop pod for the purpose of the Drop Pod Assault rule. So round up((#drop pods+#dreadclaws+#kharybdis)/2) come in on turn one. Doctor Perils
Gods of the Warp, what witchery has given you these skills ? Seriously good work on this last batch Thamier. That's the best psychic hood I've ever seen, bar none. That insta-mould technique looks pretty interesting, do you know how you're gonna melt it out (without damaging the model) ? The Traitor
Great reaver, I recently have scratch-built some of my own, but this are much better. You are really good at posing, it actually looks as he is descending with his jump pack.
