Oh so that's the secret!:p you make it sound easy, but damn if I'll ever get us looking that good:)

Anyways, the effect looks amazing, and even better when the burst concrete layer is added, very very nice work. I love how you ve added the texture into the U.S. also, that was probably what was needed to make this look "natural"

 

yup thats my secret, with the clay sculpting tools it makes it alot easyer, but if you try it im sure you get great results. thank you for all the kind words.

 

 

I wish I'd thought of that tearing effect of the chaos star on my chaos Knight.  I guess its something I can steal for the Nurgle one I have planned.  Awesome work! :)

im sure you coukd still add it after, or do it on your next knight, thank you.

 

Do you think it would be possible to shrink this method down to power armor scale?

hmm i dont see why not, ill give it a try if i have time, i think its very doable.

 

 

Really like the GS work here... defo going to have to try something similar on a renegade knight (one day) :)

Since you were also sculpting flames earlier, maybe the Red Angel from 30k? Also your green stuff on that chaos bastion looks phenomenal! Looking forward to seeing more!

 

its a bloodangel atlest, but its 40k model, the fire is for other projects tough, i jump a bit from thing to thing. thanks alot, the bastion is a bit on hold, i need to get some silicon.

almost right but he will have his skull.

 

i came up with the idea for this project a long time ago, back when inwas drawing up sonic weapon designs.

so far its pretty stable but if needed i add a bit of metal under the base

Just a guess from the helmet sketch in the top left corner of the pic. This looks pretty much like khayons helmet from the artwork. So is it Khayon?^^

its a sorcerer but not specifically Khayon, i do plan on making him tough later on.

with my last silicone i made a mould of slate rocks i bought, i have more ut waiting for more silicone i ordered. the plan is to cast bits for the bastion and cast flames and more rocks
