Sitting back sculpting bits, listening to Betrayer.

Waiting for a few bits to cure before I can add more details, Compelled to sculpt this little fellow with a spare blob of GS..

Thanks Kage

I often see People struggle with rivets.. Cutting them out of plasticard or trying frantically to somehow roll small enough little balls of GS..

Ill be using a number of rivets on my Plague marines as I rework their armor into something heavy and aged..

While far from perfect, Here is how I do rivets.

I produce sheets of  tiny little rivets.. Using nothing more than 0.5mm((depending on the size of rivets I need)) Mechanical pencil lead, and Super Sculpy ((fimo or anyother baking clay))

& Its Just another simple pressmold...

cut and apply..

That Easy..

Anyhow.. back to this Guy.. Im bulking out a few loyalist power-packs before I can detail them out into something fun.. And ive been pouring over artwork, Scraping details off of random Marine bodies, repositioning legs, and sketching out future bits..

Awww, it's the Pillsbury Snotboy!

Impressive work, though I feel like the foot could be a bit more grotesque, like elephantiasis. It's close, but could be just a bit more bulbous smile.png

Ive been tempted to Do the opposite.. Just Cut it off and go smaller.. Its an overly enlarged bulbous foot already in my mind..

Its a fine line im treading sculpting Nurgle bits.. Its far too easy to get into that Lazy Misshapen blob territory..

Hm...or, it could be decayed down to the bone-ish, with the freshly sloughed off bulbous and infected flesh pooled around the foot and dragging behind it on the base...

Think I just made myself a little sick.

Thanks! Some Great Ideas! They give me a few options for the 6 others ((Im doing a block of 7))

The rivets solution is slick, thank you! As for thin leg, my mind draws a vision of a beastman leg just sticking right out, all clovenhooved. I love everything about your greenstuff work.

I Hoped it would be helpful.  =)

Im sculpting lengths of chain right now...

Gets boring quick..

That cape...I wanna send you a model just so you can put one on it biggrin.png

I can't quite tell what's going on with the head of the guy on the right.

That head is only half finished at this point.. its a Damaged helm with the marines Skull showing.. going to put an eye in the empty socket..

*sigh* and now, every time I look at some of my freshly made Chaos marines, in attempts to churn them out for you, I shake my head and rip them back apart because I know I cannot leave them so plain and unconverted...

Damn you...

AMAZING work as always Zsoulless, the caped guy is particularly impressive, he reminds me of Megatron from the 3rd Transformers movie. Awesome through and through.

Why did you have to bring up the horrible Bayformers movies? Ugh. Now I gotta go punch something.

My son loves that Movie =P Actually I really liked the little Insecticon things that crawled around in his head trying to repair him... hmmm.. how to sculpt those tiny wound stitching flies that swarmed around Ignatius Grulgor, and Solun Decius, in The  Flight of the Eisenstein..

This Guy is pretty much done..

Exactly! I haven't built a new Troop for my army since I started to really look at some of the amazing WIP p'logs that are out there. Now I won't be able to go back to building them with the same attitude ever gain. Work like this is nothing but inspiring; so much awesome is possible, and these little works of art deserve the effort.

And the Nurgling, please tell me you're going to do more, many many more. It has so much character, I'd love to see a swarm of them all clambering for a hug.
