For those of you who don´t know me: Prior to this thread I had been running one in the Legio Morbidus. Painting up a nurgle themed army. Though it is far from finished I felt dissatisfied with the csm codex and in a shopping spree decided it is time to start daemons. I´ve had a number of test games with different takes on the flying circus style lists and I will try to post up some battle reports as they come in, aswell as show you some of my conversions/greenstuffing/painting. My goal is to build up a tournie army which will allow me to play something completely different to my previous list (Typhus zombie horde with oblits and drakes). I somehow feel the urge to not have to move as many figures anymore . So far daemons have been great fun albeit random. Got to love some of the warpstorm results. The thing that annoys me most is my ability to constantly throw 11s on psychic tests, but otherwise my lists have been very successful in my gaming group so far. Taking out Mechdar and mechdar with knights without major problems. Having success against sw, tau, imperial guard. And being snotted by Necrons. Finished off my herald of slaanesh (Walking) and did a load of bases for my csm, aswell as starting off on the next 10 plague bearers. I´m not sure how much I like the herald, i may revisit her and freehand some tattoos on her at a later time. I played 1 Herold of Tzeentch ML 3, +1S for spells 1 Herold of Tzeentch ML 3 grimoire 1 Herold of Khorne Jugger, Axe of Khorne and Hatred for his squad 1 Chaos Sorceror ML 3 Terminator Armor Spell Familiar 10 Plague Bearers 20 Horrors 10 Cultists 15 Hounds Baledrake 3 Obliterators MoN Votlw Was an amazingly fun game. I won´t do a battle rep on it. Leave that to smaller games. The Khorne Herold insta-gibbed two eldar wraithknights. The hounds tanked out big style. I must say I am in love with hounds. The horrors also performed well. All round a very fun and powerful list. My 1850 will have another squad of hounds in it aswell as another squad of plague bearers. Seems pretty nasty! It is high time I got around to building lists for it. So it will be a 1000pts team tag, so a total of 2000pts per side. Had a bit of a play test today and this is what we are going to try and build up by january. List 1: Khorne Herold Jugger Lesser Gift Hatred for Squad Khorne Herold Jugger Grimoire Hatred for squad 2*11 Plague Bearers 2*16 Khorne Hounds List 2: Herold of Tzeentch ML 3 Grimoire Disk Herold of Tzeentch ML3 Disk Herold of Khorne Lesser Gift Jugger Hatred for Squad 10 Pink Horrors Champion 10 Plague Bearers 8 Screamers 13 Hounds of Khorne Just played against a double eldar combo. Long deployment, he got first turn, we got really bad spells (counter attack twice, prescience twice, ignores cover and 3d6 for reserves). I managed to get an extra lesser gift for my khorne herald. We got reroll on warpstorm table for both of our warlords. The eldar list was the same for both. Consisting of: Jet bike farseer with cover save mantel 6 Fire dragons in wave serpent 1*5 and 1*6 Dire Avengers in wave serpent 1*Night spinner After a lot of poor rolling on our side we managed to hold out strong in one turn which enabled us to assault quite a few of his units destroying 3 tanks and 3 infantry squads (he used them to block our charges). However, in the end the poor conditions for our list meant we only just managed to scrape a 10-10 in a 3 objective game. Losing all but 1 hound, 12 plague bearers and 10 horrors. While the eldar still had 1 farseer, 2 Serpents and 6 dire avengers. Quite proud of how we managed considering the fact that we had quite a bad start. The daemon part of my vow consists of 3*10 Fleshhounds, 1 Tzeentch herold and 1 Khorne herold on jugger with portalglyph. I´m going to start off on the Tzeentch herold I think, followed by the khorne herold. Then I´ll have to order 29 bike bases for the rest of the hounds. I have an idea for the portalglyph. Kind of a group of rocks with nurglings surrounding them and a daemonic creature coming from the center of the stone formation. I kind of want to create a gate effect aswell, with the daemon coming out of the warp, but for the moment i remain clueless as to how I will achieve this. Ok so before call to chaos begins I´m going to start off on the last 9 daemonettes. I basecoated these quite a while ago and will hopefully have them finished on wednesday.
