Magnetizing the New Tactical Squad

Recommended Posts

My magnets were too big for the delicate hands. I came up with the idea to actually put both magnets inside the arm itself by drilling much deeper. The magnet on the hand side is actually just glued to the back of the hand so it "docks" into the arm when you fit it.

and then on the other side:

Just be very careful that you get it started straight on. I've gotten pretty close to the outside of the arm a couple of times. You can see the arm plastic turning white when you get close. But, once the magnet's in there it's pretty strong and makes a great fit. Super sturdy, actually.

I went to the youtube page of the video (no idea why I didnt do that first) and it was mentioned that they were 1/16" x 1/32". I did an ebay search and found  magnets that size listed as being Warhammer magnets. I also found some 2mmx2mm magnets listed as Warhammer magnets. I ordered the 1/16"x1/32" ones and when they arrive, Ill post a follow-up.  It does appear to be the correct size, though.

The 1/16"x1/32" works perfectly.

Label says the magnets are:

Diameter - 0.0063" (1.6mm)

Length - 0.031" (0.8mm)

I used a 1/16th drill bit with my pin vice and the hole was perfect.
