Thanks for the comments guys - very encouraging!

After the Jetbikes there will be the Javelin (which I have already put together) and a squad of Palatine Blades. these three units (three bikes, the Javelin and the Blades) comprise my L&T vow... However my grand plan is detailed in the first page - so the Troops choices will be two 10-strong Assault squads ( probably a mix of Mk II, Mk IV and, my favourite, Mk V).

The Jetbike Sergeant will be completed today and pictures will be up this evening. On the bad side he looks like a Centurion instead of a meagre sergeant, which means I may need to correct it in the future, by upgrading him to Champion on Jetbike and substitute the sergeant with a new model... That's life I guess... :D

Well, I wouldn't be surprised to find that an EC sergeant resembled a Centurion from any other legion; they do love to dress up all fancy-like. wink.png

Thx for the comments guys... Turns out I stayed until late in the office so the update is pushed for tomorrow...

@ Dumah: yes I guess you have a point. :D I still think he turned out a bit too much imo - you'll see tomorrow...

@ EPK: appalled are you? Hahaha!!! Well they will serve for target shooting once the DAs make an appearance in 1q15 (rumoured)

@ irwit: the Blades are still in the mail. I made the "mistake" of ordering them along with the Kakophoni and the Massacre. As the Kakophoni were released yesterday, my order may still take a week to arrive... :(

Alright guys, this is the first squad of jetbikes done. The pics of the sergeant are somewhat dissapointing as the sword comes out plain red, where infact there is some orange detail on it...

Thx guys - Sons of Anarchy indeed!

@irwit: my stupid camera is really hopeless... But all is not lost! I'll use the wife's iPhone later on, and try some close ups!

@ Knight of the Raven: thx! The bling consists mostly on the crest, white shoulder pad, white face plate and of course the flashy big red sword. I'd be happier (in retrospect) to have him just with the white faceplate and a metal sword with a couple of purple washes... Oh well, it may still happen... :D

@ Telhdrat: I suppose you're referring to the engine, by far the most interesting part of the model for me... I really wanted to make it look diesel punk like. So leadbleacher base coat, then heavy Nuln Oil wash and wait to dry. The effect is really good even if you leave it at this point.

However in order to give it some burned iron look, I did further dry brushing first with Warplock Bronze (love this color) mostly around the raised parts where the panels interlock but not exclusively (being "sloppy" is a plus here) and then finally a second dry brushing with Hashut Copper but this time a little more cautious to concentrate it around the engines raised edges...

Here you must be really sparse with it though or you run the risk to make the whole thing look gold - an effect that I wanted to avoid...

This was it, all colors straight from the pot, no mixes no nothing. :)

...and now the Palatine Blades! :D

Look how distorted the swords are ... well, nothing hot water won't fix.
