@ Olisredan

Not quite sure. I've never used any of the 30K heavy weapons from Forge World so I'm not sure what to expect.

Only had one pair of Mk II arms left and they didn't fit the pose so he got a pair of Mk III instead.

Ordered some Bionic bitz and bobs from Anvil Industry to bling out my Iron Hands with. Forge World has also put up the Iron Hand Mk IIIs for pre-order so things are looking to get expensive. msn-wink.gif

Here's how I do my Gorgets.

++01++

I use 0.5mm thick Plasticard, I first tried using 0.25mm but this was too thin and would warp when bent and glued in place.

gallery_28439_9006_216996.jpg

++02++

Cut out a strip of Plasticard.

gallery_28439_9006_227507.jpg

++03++

Cut it to size and trim the edges.

gallery_28439_9006_50743.jpg

++04++

I use a round file as a guide to bend the strip to fit into the neck of the armour.

++05++

Glue the strip in place. If you want to you can fill in the gap between the Plasticard and the neck ring with greenstuff.

++06++

Add the rivets. I use a thin Plasticard rod which I glue on and then cut of at an appropriate length. Usually needs some trimming and touch ups with a knife or file to get them smooth.

++07++

Trim the helmet to fit behind the gorget.

++08++

Glue the helmet in place!

saw the first picture and then subscribed immediately. This a great thread, as others have stated your conversions are subtle, but astonishingly well executed. The helmet modifications are going to be a new trend amongst IH and DG players world wide!

Really keen to see more and once again thanks for sharing.

Got an email today that my order from Forge world had shipped, so you will hopefully see a completed tac squad and the beginning of my Praetor sometime next week. smile.png

@ Anaziel

It's not that hard, it mostly requires patience and luck. msn-wink.gif

@ Maximvs

You know wht they say; good artists borrow, great artists steal. msn-wink.gif

Paint in progress. I've tried different techniques on all the models with varying amounts of highlighting and chipping. I think I'll settle for just doing a zenithal highlight with the airbrush and use chipping to bring out the details.

Got my bitz from Anvil Industry. The bionic arms are a bit small, had to sculpt shoulders to put the shoulderpads on. I really like the tassets protecting the hip soft armour, I will invest in more of those.

Agreed, those are superb. I'm going to get some because of how good they look on your chaps.

Thirded. Tassets are great little extra bits of customisation that don't massively stand out, yet add to the character of the mini.

Good to see yet more progress, brother. :tu:
