I tried the feathered pads but I felt they dominated too much and made the models look 'busy'. I think I'm set on MKII - FW Blood Angel symbol on the left and corresponding blank on the right (with a decal or two).

 

Here's how they're looking now and a quick test with similar pads until the proper ones arrive:

All excellent work as usual! What colours did you use for the Scouts' camo cloaks, if I may ask?

Thanks RedemptionNL! For the cloaks, over black I used Vallejo Model Color 166 Dark Grey, 162 Basalt Grey, 158 Medium Sea Grey, and Nuln Oil for shading.

Thanks, I might just have to order those colours. I'm doing some sniper scouts as well, but not happy about their cloaks; the greys I had were all too brown or green. The blue-ish greys you've used look much better.

Yep these are definitely blue-greys. All the subtle tones is what I love about the Vallejo ranges!

Nice use of the FW kits, the heads make them look much more sinister whilst remaining ornate.

First of several 'nearly finished' infantry squads to be 'finally finished' – tri-flamer assault squad to complement the tri-melta squad. I've gone for more wear and chipping on these guys, which I like, so I may go back to the melta squad and bring them in line. I need to update their bases to 32mm anyway...

It's a transfer from the GW Blood Angels sheet, plus a coat of the FW clear green paint followed by Biel-Tan wash...
