Finished my second Sanguinary Guard squad today (except I forgot to do the soot around the jump pack jets – doh!)

So good and so unique. The gold tone is gorgeous. I really like how non-ostentatious they are, while still being highly decorated. White helmets are an excellent touch.

That's exactly the look I was going for – non-ostentatious – which is the case for all my BA. That's why I left the wings off these and my other SG squad

Update on Consadine:

 

Blindhamster bulked out and added armour to the feet, and I added some custom long flowing purity seals and parchment to match the artwork and the movement of the model.

I'm working on loads of different things at the moment. On the Blood Angels front, aside from re-basing around 40 marines on to 32mm, there's another Mephiston on the way (also made by Blindhamster as it happens), a Librarian, a Vindicator, Deimos Rhino, more Death Company and two Rapier Quad Launchers. Phew.

On Aphael I was going to do the cloak black inside and out, but I've decided to go cream on the inside (inspired by some of the 'Eavy Metal Primaris characters). In the pics above you can see the brown base for this – lots of layers to go!

I just found your thread Luther and I must say I am very jealous of you work!

 

Your black painting technique looks great. So great you've inspired me to try painting a death company myself!

 

I've been painting Blood Angels for 8 years now and I've never tackled the Death company because I've never been happy with painting black armour! Your method looks simple enough for me to do, but still looks great!
