It's a fun lil book, got it years ago before I really got into the hobby. It just looked cool. 

 

Edit: Ok googled it. Turns out I've got something reasonably valuable! Yay me.

 

Anyways today I've stuck together the ultimate burninator tank and Mechanicum Enginseer support. I'm plotting on getting a Shadowforce box to use all the artificer special weapons to turn the automata into plasma-fusil toting ones.

Tragedy, frustrating, unberable tragedy now. I was assembling my Xiphon and dropped a turbine. Literally vanished. Cannot find it anywhere in my VERY SMALL room. I want to stab something. 

 

Anyways, we have a few more things - Dracosian, Event Models and a nearly complete Xiphon. Xiphon with turbine missing. Cos...whenever resin hits the floor it warps into another dimension.

In my ever-changing loyalties/attention span, combined with two boxes of BaC; I have decided to expand to three Heresy armies. 

 

I have chosen the Eaters of Worlds, and here is my first test model. I'm really digging how easy it is compared to Salamander green.

I think you have captured the white pretty well, but I would add some dirt down around the legs/feet.

He looks good, though I've never been a fan of dual wielding chainswords.

Well I just cansprayed it white with Corax, then dabbled some agrax earthshade. Done. Simples. 

 

Backpack/shoulders sprayed with AP Ultramarine Blue, edge it with balthasar and bam. Done.

I would greatly appreciate any weathering tips like that, I have never done them before!

 

In other news, I have some World Eater transfers, 60 chainaxes, 60 torsos, 60 helms,  30 shoulder pads and an Angyron plus Khârn. They are however, in the snailmail!

 

So I have been busybeeing my Salamanders to get them as done as possible by the time I start up the new Legion

G'day folks. 

 

As some will be aware, I like to live dangerously and am painting 40 World Eaters. This has driven me mad, so to give me a break and keep the momentum I'm picking up some of my Auxilia armoured forces. 

 

I want to add some camo-stripes to them for visual variety and this is my ploy:

Now what I'm thinking is to spray over black for purple stripes. I reckon mostly purpley/silver infantry can get away with it, but mostly all purple vehicles is a bit too much of a shoot me quick sign. So primarily black should work for a void-borne sort of force I hope. 

 

Any suggestions or is this a good idea? I think it should look quite solid. Never done it before though. 

 

Edit: I yolo'd in, pleased with the results.

I've finally finished my World Eater despoilers so decided to give these guys a go. Beyond that predator earlier in the thread, I've never really done a tank properly (or at least beyond basic colour layers and washes) so I'm quite excited about the techniques I've been learning.

Small update, as I'm powering through my first ETL vow I am preparing for the second one.

 

Ancient Greius of the Eighteenth. Necro-cortical pict captured during the Urgall Massacre tearing a XII Legion foe in two. His blackened shell was found during the recovery of Cassian Dracos, evidently cut apart by heavy lascannon fire. Shall be tackling it in maybe a few eeks, so small teaser update for now.

 

Gonna see if I can squeeze a beat up Cataphractii under his leg for added effect and add some rolls of green stuff for intestines for the Line Legionary!

I've finally been busy, finally getting my tactical tax done now BoP is out.

 

So I've made the first tactical squad, nearly. I also made a squad of Veterans and a new, artificer armoured Praetor with paragon & drakeshield. I've been cannibalising old bitz and models, hence the mix-match of parts and painting level. 

 

The Praetor got cannibalised with Evanus Enkomi arms, Moloc's pimp-shield. I've also snaffled Vulkan's giant pistol, strapped to his power pack. It's for use as a nanyte blaster or archeotech pistol. He's also got a big ass tooth from a Great Drake he merked. 

 

I've also done a few finishing touches to the Achilles - I need to do weathering and get the volkite sponsons for one painted up so I can swap em out when needed.

 

Oh and I've rescued some reaaaally old Chaos rhinos I had lying around. I couldn't be arsed to swap out pintles, so I've created a new Nocturne-pattern Incendiary Weapons System. It's a multi-melta/heavy flamer array, but due to capacity it can only be loaded with enough fuel for one to be used per engagement. Something something excuses for being lazy.
