Spartan LR

While I have been wanting to do the overhead tracks for a while, and have the body and parts for that, the centre was always a conundrum... until the SAT.  Inspired by the Spartan Assault Tank, here is my attempt at a LR version.

Oh my goodness, a new madscuzzy conversion thread.... and it's a spartan land raider no less.   My heart is bursting in anticipation for the end result.

Seriously though, if you made a kit, people would buy it- that baby looks fierce.

Thanks!  It does look a bit... round... like a fat turkey though.  @Natanael... actually don't.  There are a lot of people who like to use plans to build stuff and it does make it a lot easier.  I don't like to make plans... rather I like to work, making it up as I go along.  I find it more... challenging.  A bit part of my way of working has a lot of editing, sanding and filing.  It's slow and harder to make precise.

Haha. Then I'll try to learn the way of the planner instead ;)

Oh God Emperor it's becoming such a  sexy beast  venerated relic that brings honor to whatever chapter it hails from

How are you going to handle the hull mounted/pintle weapons? I'm sure you have something up your tech magus robe sleeves Madscuzzy, you always do.

For those who have noticed, the top back is using the large turret ring.  I've always wanted to put a turret on a LR, if just for aesthetics purposes only.  But it has to be filled up, so I made a covering...

I didn't like how far back the slope was... so I made some pieces and added to them, bringing them forward more...

The larger hatch allows me to mount proper turrets. The FW MM works well here... or even a pred turret!

The assault cannon is on the other side of the turret cylinder, so yes it can be opened up and swapped around. The whole front section is removable, but there is no interior.
