I have posted my GT dilemma in the main BA forum. But if you haven't seen it, basically, this is my first time going to anything like a GT. So, to put it bluntly, I have no illusions of taking home any prize that involves 4th place or higher. However, I do want to have a chance while having some fun. While it might not be anything like a dark horse, I do want to go in an see if I can spoil someones grand plans. and who could stop a billionty power armored bodies with FNP? Or the power house that is Mephiston and the threat of some dreads in your face? Or just a wall of immune to plasma spam?

That's my question to you guys. Which list looks the best, or how would I improve either one if you had a choice?

As I said in your other thread, I'd just take the one your comfortable paying with and go in with zero expectations. All three lists will struggle versus the top tourney builds - Taudar, Eltau, Screamer Star, Seerstar

Hopefully the tournament isn't using Escalation ?

As for the lists themselves

TAC list - I played something similar in a local league, and found that the list presented itself in bite size chunks that my opponent could easily deal with. TAC lists don't tend to do well in sixth, as typically you can't take all comers anymore, and end up with the 6th ed equivalent of a battleforce list.

Critical Mass Power Armour - You've gone for a split in your PA - ASM/DC/Tacticals which again presents your list in bite size chunks to your opponent. Shoot the 30 ASM, then shoot the DC, then shoot (or deny) the Tacticals. When this approach is talked about with BA, it's normally with 60 ASM that the opponent can't shoot before they become overwhelmed.

The Wall - I don't think it's quite as extreme as it can go. I'd also probably forget about the jumpers and go with more shooting

As an example, What I'm planning on testing at 1500 :-

Librarian

Corbulo

1x 5 TH/SS Terminators w/ Land Raider Redeemer

2x 5 ASM w/ Flamer; TL-HF Razorback

2x Baal Predator w/ AsC, HB

2x Predator w/ AuC, LC or 2x Vindicator

I guess after much consideration, a mix of bodies and using pods and frags seems like a good idea

A planned out strat, thus far, is to use DISTRACTION DREADS and DC to let the 3 assault squads I have march forward. I choose Tactical squads for 1)ability to score 2) scoring tank busters if the situation would warrant it. A hopefully tactically flexible army list. I have given up on air defense (no stronghold allowed, and I don't have the time or cash to ally *tau* or even Imperial Guard), and plan to win by having feets on the ground. On the plus side (missions not released yet), if there are mystery objectives, 59 of my dudes get to benefit from them.
