Just won a group of scimitars on the 'bay and excited to have several scars for my siege force. Your thread is so chocked with inspiration:)Lightning bolts and clean lines... Do u freehand these??? Thanks. This board is full of inspiration, I'm happy to contribute to the cycle :) The chapter symbol is decal (blended over), the rest is Greenstuff or freehand. One-eye Posted July 29, 2015 Author Share Posted July 29, 2015 The squad and the Moritat are finished. I had to rush the pictures to be on time for the ETL, I'll post better ones asap. I've done the Moritat with my crappy phone (camera 3000 km from me...). I don't have any fluff for him (and still no name), I have to say he doesn't quite fit in my brotherhood fluff actually. I made him mainly because I found funny to build a gunslinger plasma Moritat with half his body replaced by bionics due to his weapons' properties... Unfortunately I will have to slow down on troops and bikes because I can't receive the upgrades before november... Sad, but in my order that just arrived, I've got some vehicles to keep me busy. :) Could you go through your process for the plasma pistols? It's pretty simple actually, I had to do it quick to be on time for the ETL. I painted the coils in Mordian blue (I don't know the new reference, should be Ultramarine or close) and drybrushed gently the same color around the coils. I then painted downwards the space between the coils with ice blue, ice blue + white and finally white. The blending has naturally a good aspect just following the coils' sculpture.
