Here's the WIP pics of the seventh five-man squad I'll be painting for my 1250 tournament list: IV Tactical Squad.

Veteran sergeant - Fidurik Kolan - Barabbas Sogalon

Kolan is based on one of the horribly posed bodies that come with a rapier platform. I boiled the body though, and managed to bend his left leg backwards and outwards, which gives him a slight mid-stride sense of motion, that was tolerable enough to use him as the bear of an astartes I imagine him to be - which I wanted mostly because Barabbas Sogalon's name always sounded like a name for a big guy to me.

Kizz, I hope you like this guy. I tried to make him as big as I could, with the 40K devastator body that resembles MkIII armour, along with a MkIII pauldron and helmet with bionic eye. I hope you like him.

@Atia: Yeah, the boarding shields have a screen on the inside, and lenses on the outside, making it possible to completely hide behind them and still be able to see what's behind them. They're pretty awesome as a concept.

I hope you all had great parties and fun. No one around me got injured due to fireworks, I'm happy to report. Only three days left on my vacation, and so much to do. With today being as wasted as I am, , I have only two days of possible hobby time left in my vacation. Dunno if I can deliver anything finished, but at least I got the bases for the artillery and dreadnoughts I have lined up.

 

Also, I got myself a Storm Talon (because I'd love to paint it, mostly) and Sergeant Telion.

I know he's an Ultramarine, but I got him for two reasons:

1. He looks like me. Obviously I don't walk around with a bionic monocle, but like him, my hair grows on the wrong side of my face. And if I stuff his cheeks a little bit with greenstuff and paint his beard in a pepper-and-salt colour scheme, his face is nearly identical to mine.
2. He allows for an ultimate cheese combination. If he's your warlord he can give any unit within 12" rending. Enter three Quad Heavy Bolter Rapier platforms....  tee hee hee.

@Black_out: Cheers buddy! Yea, I had a lot of free time. Two more razorbacks and I'm done with the tanks for a while.

@The Hydra: You'll have to wait for them, but with a Caestus incoming, a breacher unit is practically mandatory, no?

@Barabbas Sogalon: Alright! Another great fitting! Are you okay with him like this, or do you have any suggestions for Sergeant Kolan? Perhaps his heraldry? - I was planning to do his banner in the black and white quartered scheme that fits the Fifth Company. But in terms of iconography, you're most welcome to offer suggestions. Mind you: I have the Imperial Fists Transfer sheet, so there's no boundaries. :)

Thanks buddy. Yeah Telion has the storm of Fire Warlord trait, which allows him to nominate any unit within 12" of him and give that unit rending during that phase. It´s restricted to units with the Ultramarine Chapter tactics though, so it´s extra cheesy as I´ll be painting both Telion and the rapier unit as Imperial Fists, but counting them as Ultramarines. I´m calling the combination ´Dutch Cheese´. ;)

Alright gang, it's been a couple weeks since I allowed everyone to name a marine or character in my 1250 list. Almost all slots have been filled, but not all.
