@sockwithaticket: Thanks again SWAT. Resin is not such a big deal if you have a large pot of boiling water nearby and when it's dry, the right glue. Superglue is not the right glue for larger (bigger than marine sized) resin models. I use UHU Schnellfest 2-part epoxy glue. Best there is.

That's quite a lot of veichles and bikes to paint! Wouldn't surprise me the least if you have it all done by tuesday next week though!

Indeed mate! I started work on the Nurgle bikes today.

 

I first switched around all the front wheels of the normal and the chaos bikes, because I don't like the sleekness of the Chaos bike for the Nurgle look, but also don't want to use pure loyalist bikes. Next I added tons of pustules, some tentacles and lastly the Meltaguns for the two tank busters. Six done so far. I do admit that I've bought another three bikes from the DV box, as for the Nurgle Biker Lord I want to use the sergeant with the robes. So probably one of these current bikes will be used in my second vow...

But yes indeed, true astartes of the Night Lords pray to no gods. However, some do get corrupted. remember Kurth Hermond, my biker champion who started visiting Urath Torgalor and Daleth Onn and their plague marine companions over at the Imperial Freighter on which Contemptor-Captain Tol Zhaqael contained them? Well, it turns out Torgalor and Onn are quite convincing in their arguments. Hermond has succumbed to the whispers of Nurgle, and he has taken his entire squad, including Ayded Erlik, with him on the road to damnation. Needless to say, Tol Zhaqael is not amused...

Allriiiight, I finished the build of the Nurgle biker squad! I sculpted pus and tentacles everywhere, as well as glued sand to represent rust. Also, there's Nurgle biker upper bodies and right shoulder pads, as well as Night Llords MkIII left pauldrons.

Could have made them himself, but Gale Force 9 sell a pack of plasticard which comes with just such a piece. Great basing on the Rapiers. Gods I miss my hobby equipment.

Today my prize came in. I participated in and won a competition on FB in February - basically whoever got the most likes won AUD500 to spend on an online store. The winnings coincided with the release of the Blood Thirster, my doubling up with a mate who ran a nasty daemon army in a 2v2 40K game, AND a massive sale on the webstore in question. So I was a lucky duck by being able to stack discount with free money and this is the result:

DAMN that's a lot of miniatures! Ninety-six (96!) to be precise. No idea how I'm going to paint them all, but I do know that the bloodletters will resemble the ones in the new Daemonkin codex (red and black) and the Plague Bearers will be mostly flesh-coloured.

 

Also, I got my Gal Vorbak in from FW. Hot damn these are superb looking models. They look absolutely fantastic and I'll enjoy converting them into and running them as spawn.
