We die on our feet! Start of a new century

Recommended Posts

Hey all,

Thought it would be a good idea to set up a plog for my try at painting a company sized force of the nutters in white and blue,

It will probably be slow going due to work and family but hope you enjoy the updates as and when they come.

First up a few pics of the finished tester marine and my box of goodies to help me on my way.

Hope you like and thanks for looking.

Hey all,

Thanks for the comments, much appreciated. ..

Got the first of the hq`s ready and just waiting to piece the first ten marines of a 20 man squad together.

Should be ready for painting by the end of the week.

Assuming those pesky boys in yellow dont steal my attention as I have a 20 marine breacher squad that would look great in fists colours haha.

Thanks for looking.

should have some updates pretty soon...

would a few skulls on the bases be a bit cheesey??

Nope. All depends on how the rest of the base looks.

@forte...i hate painting bases..and faces for that matter haha..so i generallly just go for mud basing using good old mig mud from a tub...thinking a few skulls buried in mud with suitable weathering should work a treat?

@gunbabe..thanks for the comments, will take it as a compliment haha, was generally thinking of renaming this "my thread has died on its feet"laugh.png

@reckoning34..nothing beats the power of tamiya x-27 for realistic blood on minis..except maybe for real blood???

@athrawes...thanks for your comments...quite a quick scheme really as most of the effects come from the shading and weathering. thanks again.

just throwing up an pic of the tester terminator while i get a picture together of the first 5 basecoated termies..

this guy is not 100% finished but will complete him with the rest of them.

@forte..cheers for the heads up with massive voodoo! Guess I might have to put more work in to my bases..

@dange..your comments are well appreciated, many thanks!

@anaziel...Don't start about the fists..haha now I want to start on that breacher squad! Thanks for the comments!

@gunbabe...the gold is done with vma bright brass washed in agrax and hilight with bright brass...as for the best looking world eaters..I think poom is winning that one haha..thanks though for your comments.

Quick update of the models looking more like worldeaters. .next up is the decals and then to mess em up to look like the tester...might do the master of signals first for this thread to celebrate nearly 10 years as a b&c member.

Thanks for looking.

  • 3 weeks later...

Hey all,

Back on the painting wagon after a brief break, thought I would put up a pic of a marine in w.i.p stage.

All thats left on this guy is the panel wash and to hit it with more weathering to match the tester.

Thanks for looking.
