A spiritu dominatus,

Domine, libra nos,

From the lighting and the tempest,

Our Emperor, deliver us.

From plague, temptation and war,

Our Emperor, deliver us,

From the scourge of the Kraken,

Our Emperor, deliver us.

From the blasphemy of the Fallen,

Our Emperor, deliver us,

From the begetting of daemons,

Our Emperor, deliver us,

From the curse of the mutant,

Our Emperor, deliver us,

A morte perpetua,

Domine, libra nos.

That thou wouldst bring them only death,

That thou shouldst spare none,

That thou shouldst pardon none

We beseech thee, destroy them.

You know you're a Sisters of Battle player when you recite the Battle Prayer of the Adepta Sororitas after being called out for posting off topic comments ...

I've been reciting this a couple times a day just to keep it straight in my head :P

Also, it's "From plague, deceit, temptation and war"

Deliver us FROM war?  Isn't the whole point of Sisters to wage war in the Emperor's name against the heretics and unbelievers?

Also, you know you're a Sisters of Battle player when you actually worry about the wording of a made up prayer. :)

Well a prayer to deliver you from war is so that you survive he war, not go home in a body bag.

You know your a sister of battle, when your prayers for war include purging heretics not just enemies.

For reference, that prayer is the Invocation of the Fede Imperialis, also called the Battle Hymn of the Adepta Sororitas, first printed in the 2E Sisters codex

And yes, deliver us from war, becuse the ultimate goal is a galaxy where all the xeno, heretics, witches, mutants, and so on are safely dead and there is no war. That will never happen, but that's the goal.

Speaking of the two meatshields, I'm wondering how long it will take the seedier parts of the fandom to shout "Twincest is wincest!" at the top of their lungs.

I think you may be a little late for that. I'd be surprised if the ink in the WD was even dry before someone made that comment.

Anyways...

You know you're a Sisters player when plastic minatures just don't *feel* right in the army.

^ in my defense, I was talking to the owner of a gaming store today and we where debating between simple green, brake fluid and purple power(degreaser)

His co worker does not play 40k and was HIGHLY confused.... It didn't occur to either of us how off it sounded

I still stand by good ol' brake fluid for metal. It works quick, is highly toxic (don't lick it....) and purges unwanted everything from the metal :)

Before the Inquisitiors arrive:

You know your a sisters player when you forget the word remove because you say purge more often then not!
