I have a fair amount painted, some that need touch ups because of age, and some that are unpainted. My goal is to be 100% painted over the next few months and will post pics as I finish. I have worked hard and been loyal to the cause my entire career. Thirty five years of unquestioning service to the imperium and now they ask this of me. I cannot do it, but if I don't they brand me a traitor and my fate is worse than death. Now, I sit in this dark chamber known as The Memoriam aboard a massive battle barge trying to find what they are looking for. I just need to find the right tome. The book of Godfried, the book of Marius, the book of Adonis, no, no, no these are not the right ones. Ah, there it is, and a massive tome bound in leather with the pages edged in gold. The cover reads The Book of Ricard: Marshal of the Memoria crusade. I start reading, not entirely sure what I am expected to find: " I Ricard, now Marshal of the Memoria Crusade, will uphold the honor of the emperor, the eternal crusade, my primarch, and my high marshal. I will compete the task given unto me no matter the costs. With over a hundred and fifty brothers of the eternal crusade under my command, the weight of this crusade is apparent and I will not fail." Over a hundred and fifty astartes cannot be correct I think to myself. That's more than a full battle company and I know there are more forces scattered elsewhere in the galaxy. This Ricard must be exaggerating. I continue: " We attacked just before dawn. The Xenos filth hoped to stand firm against the might of the emperor. They were mistaken. This was our world, and we mean to take it back. Before all the history of this planet are lost. Here lie the next clue to unraveling the mysteries of our chapter." I read for hours, other serfs do not even notice me. They do not even look up from their writing. I cannot understand what they expect me to find. Are there some mysteries here that they think are useful? Do they doubt Ricard? Why him specifically? I am sure I will never know. Army shots, and in particular as impressive as yours, are something special (they show like nothing else the result of all the hard work and time invested into developing an army) and always make me feel a little bit of envy and motivation. It seems that I have to browse through your thread, as (if I'm not mistaken) there are close-ups of the rhino hatches and the LRC's top panels somewhere and I'd like to take a closer look at those. These are a mix of dark vengeance and black reach termies, so there was some chopping and hacking envolved. It was so special 1st company detachment so most of his stuff started in reserve. The opponents had Eldar wind rider and wraith hosts and Tau cadre armies. Ran a male storm mission with imperium having 1st turn. How did your new Sicaran perform in your eyes? And which foul creatures ended the LRCs? (I have rarely played against tau/eldar so it helps to know what to watch out for!) mytimeprez Posted April 13, 2016 Author Share Posted April 13, 2016 Well, the first LRC was glanced to death by one lonely wraith guard with a strength D flamer. The major issue there was I had to sit on an objective for two consecutive turns or I would've just moved out of his range. The second LRC exploded due to fusion gun shots by the tau commander shadowsun. And let's be honest we all know that tau are cheaters. The sicarian did well, a good fire support unit. Think of a bigger angrier and more effective predator. It took several wounds off the wraith knight, took down I flying creature battle suit from the tau, and even in the final turn slayed the Eldar warlord and his squad. However, they didn't shoot at it much so I will have to play it more to see how survivable it is. The two storm talons also performed well. Overall I was pretty happy with the way the list performed. It was not as CC oriented as I normally run, but the survivability of all those tanks was nice. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

I'm impressed by the Sicarian actually - I was never a fan of the Predator but this thing just looks so awesome.
