@Duskraider : I finally realized what you are saying smile.png

I removed the feet of the contemptor but unfortunately its not possible to make them more angled downwards without looking strange as is the construction of the contemptor by FW. But i did make it a little more down and sideways on the left leg. I think it does look better now.

Yes, I think that did it. The subtle change helps. Looks great

Dude I was diggin' that "Come at me bro" pose. Go with that, I really liked the symmetry between the sword and gun arm. Also he just looks mean as a motherfether, not even paying the struggling contemptor a second thought.

Gonna have to agree with Heinrich on this one. I do love a pose that screams "ADVANCE TOWARDS ME, BRETHREN!" Also, the crushed Contemptor makes me sad, but in a 'Haha in your face, Traitor!" kinda way. I like your Knight.

Further quick update:

Since placing the legs in a different position I noticed that the cables for the legs wouldnt match so I set to find something to make it work!

Tell me what you think :

I am lucky that I travel around the world with work so I found this cool wire/cables at a hobby co in australia!

So I think now the lower part of the knight is ready for undercoat and I will start painting him hopefully soon!

Solomon Demeter, nice. Will you be giving him a two-handed chain blade? If I recall correctly thats his wargear on Isstvan III.

Actually spot on! This is what he was wearing on Istvaan III...

Having been grievously wounded for a third or fourth time ?   Solomon finally recovered from his wounds and took

a armor from a fallen Emperor's Children and decided against taking command but instead following Saul Tarvitz and fighting where he was needed till the bitter end!

This is the reason I decided not to give him a too flashy armor and instead make a dynamic pose of going up the centre as Solomon always did.

He also decided to keep his helmet on as the Environment of Istvaan was unbearable

Tell me which helmet you prefer for him I have 2 options at this time..

If you have another helmet in mind please tell me and if its that awesome idea I will go get it!

Solomon Dementer

ohmy.png duuude the second helmet look great with Solomon. But the mini itself is so dynamic and so alive! I really liked Solomon in Fulgrim and you have made him come alive, thank you for that.

Hmmmm maybe I should even wait for the new FW Emperor's Children helmets to come along?? not sure yet...

Anyways was away from home for the holidays and have made small progress..

Here is my first Emperor's Children squad..

I am quite happy with the new GW colours they work nicely together with few exceptions...

Still not happy with the pictures I take as I think a bit of detail and highlight are missing but thats the best i can do for now..

Maybe need to get a better camera..

Anyways I have started to paint the base of the knight too! pictures to follow soon..

They look really good, and impressed with how quickly you got them done. My only criticism, and it could just be the lighting or camera, is the models look a little flat? Since there is little weathering, I think the highlighting on the purple and the shading on the gold could be pushed a little further. But truley, theses are looking really sweet already

Actually I havent weathered them yet! As for the highlights and washs I think it must be the lighting cause I have used them all with double wash/highlight..

My progress is slower than a turtle sleep walking!

Having a child is more busy that I could have ever imagined :)

Plus I get distracted by other projects and cant seem to stop buying all this plastic crack :P

Anyways here is a small update!

I put together a spartan with Oppressor tracks from machinator..

I think it looks awesome anyways here goes:
