Hello, long time stalker and occasional poster.

This is some of what started off as allies for my marines and I now have over 2500 points worth.

Here are some pics,

Hey, very cool. I like the edging on the camo of the Vendetta.

Thanks very much.

Nobody only collects a small Guard force, once you start you don't stop ;) I like the vehicle camouflage, it makes for a very striking jungle scheme. Post up some infantry shots next so we can get a better look at them! :)

Yeah the recruitment process escalated rather quickly. Will get some more pictures in the next couple days hopefully.

Here is a little taster I found in a picture album on the phone of some infantry pics I'm going to get for you guys.

Hopefully some will come tomorrow when I play the step son in his second ever game.

Good stuff.

I would recommend some Shades. Whatever the current sepia one is for pink skin, and Agrax Earthshade for brown skin.

Athonian Camoshade is a nice one for green armour, though if money is an issue then Agrax an excellent backup (I swear I get through three pots of that for one of anything else).

For scribblescript I would recommend a superfine drawing pen (I use a 002) and tap it on the surface of the model rather than drawing lines. Many, many small dots make it look more like text.

One alternative that a GD-winner taught me was to cut down a wooden toothpick so it's as fine as you can get it, and dip it in waters down black paint. Then use that to do the many, fine dots. Takes a lot more patience but it looked finer and better than the pen.

Lacking such time or patience, I use the pen. ;)

That's quite a bit of progress for such a short amount of time! Not that I needed a reminder of how slow I am with infantry... :P

Thanks, I am not interested in the common infantry, and I have loads left. I will not fail the vow though and once these are done then I can do some armour as a reward!

Fantastic! Well done, keep the models coming :D I like your snipers, you managed to make them quite different despite the mono-pose nature of the bits. I'm eager to get to work on my Platoon now, I look forward to seeing your tanks finished :)

Thanks for the comments.

The snipers are all about the heads to make them individual, and my favourite is the head from the chimera sprue. (On the right of the two i have done).

Cannot wait to get stuck into the tanks, be nice to have some uniformity in the colour schemes. So even the red and grey are going.

I did that same for my snipers, an idea I shamelessly stole from Kier :P

It's something I have done for years. Most of my marine scouts are like it, and even in a desert style though apparently they look more like leopard skin. Still made banshees think better of combat all the way back in 3rd!
