Very nice work  How do you achieve that blue armour?

Thanks!

With each step I only paint the parts I want to be brighter:

1. black primer, sometimes black/white priming

2. 1:1:1 mixture Kantor Blue : Abaddon Black : glaze medium from vallejo

3. 1:1 mixture Kantor Blue : glaze medium from vallejo

4. 1:1:1 mixture Kantor Blue : Enchanted Blue (don't know the new name) : glaze medium from vallejo

5. 1:1 mixture Enchanted Blue : glaze medium from vallejo

6. GW blue wash on every blue part.

Seems to be a lot, but it actually is rather fast. Most of the time I only put the next brighter color into the starting mix (black and blue).

Really nice! Is that "Another sorcerer" made with the plastic base decoation from the wolflord???

Also, is the TS upgrade-kit in resin nowadays?

Those are amazing! Liking the Defiler. What is the hand lightning sorcery he is holding from???

Thank you! That's from the herald of tzeentch on chariot box.

Yes, the "Another sorcerer" is based on the DA Librarian from the DV set and the resin decoration from the wolflord.

Here is a pre-priming picture:

WIP DV Librarian Sorcerer conversion, pre priming

And yes, the TS-upgrades are the new resin ones. Unfortunately I only have one of them and more than 5 metal ones. They are Finecast, but it's such a joy not to work with metal :smile.:

Yep. The asp. sorcerer from the TS-kit is completely resin. I coped the fella in two halves and build two sorcerers from him. Here I used the lower half and a TS torso front from the TS kit and here I used the upper part and the new plastic librarian. I had to cut nearly the whole back part to combine it with the plastic liby. Imagine the pain if it was metal, not soft resin ....

And yes, please restart your TS! I really like them and it's hard to find good TS projects to follow!

And now I no longer want to shelve my thousand sons and actually work on them again :tongue.: My Eldar and salamanders hate :tongue.: Looks awesome, especially the sorcerers, makes me want to do that, not as if I already have too many :tongue.:

One can never ever have too many sorcerers! NEVER!

And please, show your TS some love. They will repay you :P

Hands down THE best Thousand Sons army I have ever seen. I think I must have said "oh my god" about 10 times going through those photos. The poses, the customization and the painting itself just incredible. That has totally inspired me to copy the hell out of all those models and do my own!

Just wow!

I've seen better! :P

But seriously, thanks a lot. I didn't expect such a positive reaction.

Please feel free to do so! But please show us the results afterwards :P

I already know them ;) You should make new better pictures, those on your blog are badly lighted. Try to use a photobox and/or daylight lamps. You will be surprised. There are some very nice conversions and the only thing I don't like are the still black symbols on some of the rubricae.

All your positive feedback motivates me, so I want to share another WIP with you.

I don't consider myself a good painter or converter and I'm very surprised you all like my TS so much. Could be because we are in the TS section of B&C

Waaaait a bit, "resin decoration from the wolf lord"???

Isn't he in plastic? :tongue.:

Nope, he is definitely resin. It's from this kit. The torso + helmet on the base.

Wow, embarrasingly enough I've always just assumed it was a plastic kit. Hahahah :D

Fnuh. This guy is glorious.

The Thousand Sonniest Thousand Son I've ever seen. How freaking cool is the Mk.II helm with that crest?
