Should a Librarians bike that has been built for him alone be red like 99% of the vehicles within his company or would it be blue matching his armour and marking it and him out as members of the Librarius. Fluffvise it should be blue since chaplains and librarians have their own wargear and they are almost always painted in their colors. They have their own terminator armors, jump packs and such so it would make sense for them to have their own bikes. I would go with blue all over with lots of BA iconography. Midnightmare Posted April 22, 2014 Share Posted April 22, 2014 Really cool conversion :) I would paint the libby before deciding - there is not a large area of the bike to be painted red or blue and it may become clearer once the rider is done; you want the bike to complement him not stand out. Its natural for the librarium to want their own jump packs due to the extra demand for power their suits require to operate a psychic hood (and force weapon). Terminator armor has this same problem. They must have a psychic hood and have proper tweaks and adjustments to accommodate the librarian inside. A bike is a vehicle, the librarium doesn't have its own rhino's or whirlwinds, that would serve no practical purpose. Having their own bikes is a foolish concept unless as noted above it was a noticeably special bike (a la corvus jetbike). Based on your agruement for a blue bike the librarians have their own armory with everything from grenades and bolt pistols to tanks and gunships. And you and me both know they don't. Bikes are personal wargears. Not vehicles. They are used by a single person unless they are attack bikes which are totally different things and rhinos, whirlwinds and such are vehicles, not wargears. Grenades are ammunition. Librarians DO have personalized bolt pistols and such with goat horned skulls and stuff like that. And like Midnight Runner said, chaplains have their bikes painted black. Lord Commander Scrymgeour Posted April 22, 2014 Share Posted April 22, 2014 In my head, any heroic (more heroic) space marine would be presented with a whole armoury of ancient relics / honoured armours / etc. So paint it how you want. furyion Posted April 23, 2014 Author Share Posted April 23, 2014 thank you all for your replys, i've decided to go with blue as the main colour, the faring that the book sits on is either going to be an off white or gold, anything thats winged or fethered will be off white, i might do the robes on the statues on the rear of the bike a dark red almost brown colour that i always paint my BA Librarian's robes / capes in. i'm going to have to paint the bike and the librarian as one item because some time during the construction my dumb arse glued his arse to the bike and there is no way i can get them apart without doing some damage. thanks again for all your replys, it was intresting to see the different views. furyion Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
