Who better to go up against my Fists than Iron Warriors? I don't think they will be part of the army so they may find there way onto eBay. I should have them finished with some pics up early next week. And is that Book 3 in the background. Jealous. They are indeed, they don't fit great though as they are a bit shallower than the regular shoulder pads but they can be made to work. Thanks, They are now long gone! Sold on ebay about two years ago now. They were a test for this army and a good practise for when I first started using a airbrush. I liked them but because I used a oil based paint and white spirit for that they can out a little too brown for my liking. No iron warrior should be grey knight shiny but they did quiet make the cut for me. Hoping to rectify that with these guys. I've not planned a full list yet as I've just made a small start on the army using units I have lying around but I do like the idea of using a moritat as the dirty tactics of him and a destroyer squad certainly suit the iron warriors. I also love bit of the special characters from book three so they may be making a appearance (although not at the same time as one is loyalist and the other is a traitor) Cheers! November Posted April 26, 2014 Share Posted April 26, 2014 Your grubby (in a good way) Imperial Fists were a big inspiration when I got back into the hobby, and your test IW squad looks awesome. This'll make for a really nice companion army to your completed Fists, and I imagine the metallics will be an interesting challenge to weather. Looking forward to seeing how this progresses... I've just finished a squad of terminators, http://i485.photobucket.com/albums/rr212/michaelshaw55/Iron%20warriors/image.jpg I converted these guys years ago from the plastic kit using a multitude of parts long before forge world had even started releasing any kits suitable for the Heresy. The shoulder pads are maxi mini, all imperial eagles have been removed, studs have been added, helmets converted, the reaper auto cannon is converted from the space wolf assault cannon (great backpack feed), the only recent addition are the twin linked bolters.
