Out of likes already. The ETL does that tongue.png Yes, if you have the new kit it has all of them (mine is the old one) and you only get one sponson pair. You can buy another sprue from GW but it isn't cheap.

Welcome aboard Nico and march, I look forward to seeing your completed vows! biggrin.png

++ NOTICE ++

A request - can everyone please format their vow declarations in a similar style to an army list? Semper's job is hard enough so we should all do our bit to try and make his life a bit easier. If you want a quick way of doing it, quote my declaration post to get the code for it. Thanks smile.png

From the stony steppes, murky woods and holy fortresses they come to vanquish the forces of darkness that plague our lands.

These warriors have kept hope alive in our darkest hours. Now they will carry that hope across the galaxy.

House Ravenholdt is prepared to send more of their finest soldiers to help combat the enemies of mankind. Though a Knight Household, they sport their own regiment. For this vow I will complete

1x Veteran Squad with Carapace armour, 3 meltas and a vox 110p

1x Chimera ML/HF 65p

1x Wyvern Battery 65p

to bring retribution to those that feel themselves save behind their walls.

But they do not stand alone, for the Forge World Tempestus Secundus honoures the ancient agreement and provides them their finest machines of war. In addition I will complete

1x Imperial Knight Paladin 375p.

Total: 615

The honour of the House will be done justice.

Here is the Knight Paladin already primed with Chaos Black spray and some slight conversions like the banner up top (you will see that a lot, I have a banner-fetish) and his shoulder. I did not want to change more because it's amazing as it is. I just love that pseudo Empire medieval style.

Those my are Veterans. I used the Scion models because I enjoy that knightly Empire style a lot and it complements my Knight. Every vet has his own grenades and dagger attached as well as random pouches, drinks, Ravenholdt iconography (mostly the DA wings) as well as some purity seals and trophies. The wires of the lasguns have been removed to distinguish them from hot-shots.

Lastly the Wyvern in question. I am in the process to attaching iconography to it and the Chimera. For the crew I used the Tempestus Scion heads to give the army an uniform look.

More stuff to come.

Excellent! Some Veterans and a Knight no less! We'll have to race to see who can get their super heavy finished first :D

Don't forget to properly format your vow and list the upgrades and point values. I'm liking how many Oath of Moment badges are appearing in signatures across the Guard section, we've got a real shot at improving on our first outing last year :)

OK guys - fantastic start! with more than 7k already pledged from the IG forum alone and 2.5k from the other Imperial Agencies you look in a very good shape!

Keep going though because the competition in steep - Remember: this is the recruitment phase so make the best out of it!

@ march: I assume your total vow is 730pts. If there is a change or some fine tuning let me know!

@ sviar: When you work out the points give me a heads up so I can go back to amend it.

@ lionofjudah: I need a more accurate discription of your vow before I add it to the list... let me know when you narrow it down and I'll amend the first page.

UPDATED TO THIS POINT!

Huzzah, we're off to a flying start! The Veterans from the 2nd ETL Crusade are expected to lead the charge - glory to the first comrade to complete their vow! biggrin.png

I'll start assembling my Baneblade tomorrow once I've dug it out from wherever it is hiding. Hopefully I'll have enough to start a WIP topic with before I go away for a long weekend smile.png

Update: The Forge World has made some progress on the Knight. I used medium sized rough pig hair brush to cover the Titan with gun-metal grey (Citadel Leadbelcher). This will be the lowest layer. The metal parts will remain in that colour. The armour plates will be covered but this colour will still look through to show battle damage.

I did not use water. None at all. Just dry brushing with very little colour. I did it irregular on purpose to make the aformentioned battle damage more authentic and make it look like actual metal. It ain't a parade army, this beast will have seen plenty of war.

You've plenty of time spafe, the deadline for your first vow is the 1st of June at 17:00 GMT. Once you're in you can then make follow up vows after your first if you want :)

Looks like I've my work cut out for me if I want to beat Immer's Knight ;)

Did someone say something about superheavies?

I, CaptainHelion, answer the call of E TENEBRAE LUX and vow to complete the following list of models on or before August 1st.

One Hellhammer, with two sponson pairs, TL Heavy Flamers, and Pintle-mounted Storm-Bolter - 645 points

(The lascannons on my model have all been largely replaced with Multimeltas, due to local playgroup shenanigans, but there's no legal option for it, so they will be counts-as lascannons for the purposes of ETL)

One Lord Commissar with Camo gear and the Blade of Conquest - 100 points

One Company Command squad with Camo gear, 1 shotgun, 1 plasma gun, one sniper rifle, medpack, and a musician (counts as vox caster) - 107 points

Three Tempestus Scion squads with power sword, bolt pistol, grenade launcher, and flamer. - 95 points each, 285 points total

One Tempestus Scion squad with plasma gun - 85 points

One Tempestus Scion squad with melta gun - 80 points

One Tempestus Scion squad, two additional scions - 94 points

A total of 1396 points, for the Emperor.

Success will bring eternal glory to the Regiment and redemption for myself, and failure will doom me to bear the Badge of Shame until year's end, and mark me as an oath-breaker twice over.

Fantastic stuff, more troopers rally to the banner! biggrin.png

Don't forget you need to accurately represent upgrades on the model as WYSIWYG, so you'll need to do something for the camo cloaks/nets :) A good sized vow too Helion, that'll redeem you nicely!

The CCS and Commissar are actually the Gaunt's Ghosts models that GW did a while back. I've Larkin, Milo, Dorden, a fellow with a plasma gun, another fellow with a lasgun who seems to enjoy yelling, and of course the man himself.

I found them in the bottom of a box I'd gotten in a bits trade a couple of weeks back.

The Forge World is working tirelessly (read: I have quite a bit of time for painting).

Here is the next update. I used a similar rough small brush and Silver (Citadel Ironbreaker) and coloured the armoured plates while leaving the metal untouched. Again, no drop of water, pure dry brushing. This and the rough nature of the brush makes it look uneven and even a bit dirty which gives it a more used a weathered look as opposed being perfectly clean.

The next step will be using the bigger brush with gun-metal grey and some black to paint the edges where the colour is falling off and use some pale gold for the edges of the silver armour plates (and 'damage' them too).

Yeah, it's not helping. I can at least sate my appetite with my Baneblade biggrin.png Maybe I'll have a Knight for next ETL?

Looks like you're going to make quick progress Immer, you should create a WIP topic here in the Guard section to record your ETL work smile.png
