@ relict, that smeared blood is EPIC! want to see waaaaay moar of that.

Thanks brother!

The excellent thing about GW's Blood for the Blood God paint is that it retains a shiny, wet-looking sheen even after it's completely dried. I've painted some World Eaters assault marines in the past who are splattered from head to toe in blood - that was a bit too much in my opinion, so now I settle for the smears on weapons and smaller splashes on armor. There's also a nice puddle on the base next to the discarded Raven Guard helmet... :D

I concur with furioso-prime. The more there is the more it behaves like warm motor oil, not super runny but thick and relatively slippery.

Don't worry not a murderer, just....experience

It's ok Weber to admit that you take organs to pay for this hobby. You're among friends here.

Now come give me a hug buddy and smell this rag, tell me if it smells like chloroform....

I thought about using actual blood.

Then I realized said practice would be Slaaneshi and Khorne would frown upon such shenanigans.

This is all I currently have on hand, but please do expect a vow to come after this one. I've been lurking long enough I think.

I, Blissful Brushes, of the Horus Heresy sub-forum, vow:-

1 x Legion Praetor w/ Paragon blade, Plasma pistol, Digital lasers, Iron halo, Jump pack - 200 pts.

1 x Legion Forge Lord w/ Power axe, Artificer armour, Refractor shield, Bike with twin-linked bolters, Conversion beamer, Cyber-familiar - 185 pts.

For a total of 385 pts to the ETL III. Should I fail may my penance be whatever my fraters see fit. For the restored honour of the XVI and the Emperor!

-----

Just a small one from me, though anybody who actually knows me would say that this is actually very ambitious! There is currently no 'before' picture for the Forge Lord because he's just a concept in my mind at the moment.

As for the Praetor...

This is probably the most appropriate picture I've got...he has half a torso at this stage in the proceedings!

Reason for edit: Put the wrong images in, doh!

I would also (already) like to upgrade my vow with these two buddies (2 warhound scout titan @750 each) that now for quite a while yearn for a paintjob:

@ Blisfull Brushes: Welcome on board! Your vow is registered - so good luck! The Praetor looks... challenging. msn-wink.gif

@ Tehlhard: Well I sure look forward to see those painted to your usual standards... The posing is great but I also would like your views on paitnign the Phoenix Guard. You know, the Phoenix Guard was what tiped the scales for me to do an EC army... And then went for a RoW that disallows Termies! laugh.png

@ Nehekhare: A difficult one... Well first you cannot change your vow (unless it's a fine tuning) once you commit. You have to finish the one you've already made and then proceed to make another vow. For what I can tell your initial vow is already in an advanced stage so good news there...

Now for the Titans... They look like they have the proper size as the FW Titans but are they of the same complexity? I mean would it be fair for someone who actually paints a FW Titan to be awarded the same points? I cannot tell 100% from the pic so I need your input on that. I want you to paint them but if they are simpler models I'd probably apply a penalty on them...

UPDATED TO THIS POINT!

Am I alright in using non forge world models for this? If so:

I THE CALL OF THE HUNT, answer the call of E TENEBRAE LUX and vow to complete 5 RAVEN GUARD TERMINATORS from HH Vol. I + III, of total value of 305 pts. on or before August 1st. Success will bring eternal glory to LEGIO XIX and failure will doom me to bear the Badge of Shame until the year-end.

Legion Terminator Squad w/ 4x pairs of lightning claws, upgraded to Raven's Talons

1x Lightning Claw upgraded to Raven's Talon+ Reaper Auto cannon.

I Hope I did that right.

Best.

We shall see sir, I plan on finding a space between the joints to sheath my murder knives...  ;)

Cannot wait to see you get some paint out there and get some models ready for death!

Nice! The hazard stripes look particularly good.

@Semper - Do you mean the EC unqique rite of war? Because if you do, it doesn't disallow all terminators, just Cataprachtii (because they have slow and purposeful), and Phoenix Guard have Tartaros...
