I would offer you a game if I had more then 8 models and didn't live in a part of Surrey I doubt you would visit. I do work at Heathrow Terminal 4 though so if you heading through that way let me know. I work in a place that sees everyone so if I'm I could potentially say hi.

 

8 models is currently more than I have assembled... As it turns out I will be coming through Terminal 4 on the 23rd.

To prepare to you first need to paint roughly 10K points of Blood Angels.  Barring that, here's the highlights:

• Since red is so translucent, like many of the warmer colors, I like to start from a very even white undercoat.  If the paint is just thin enough the contours of the surface will begin to make a natural shadow to highlight effect for you.
• The base red is GW's Red Gore (which I think they still make?).
• The shadows are darkened with Crimson wash.
• The highlights are then built up with Blood red (which I don't think they make any more) up to Blazing Orange at the very edges.
• You need the limit the amount of orange you use because it will start to dominate and then the surface appear orange vs.red.

That's about it really.  The 10K points of BA are of course optional but recommended.
