You're certainly not making it easy for yourself with the vows you're doing, Jaspcat. I intend to go for a second vow too, but I could never match your pace. It'll be a while before I get near to completion with the fist one.

 

That said there's been some progress. The Phoenix guard are close to being finished, the EC dreadnought has gotten its basecoat, and the Iron Warrior Scorpius has gotten some paint on it as well:

C&C always welcome.  I am still looking to add some putty work to my guy.  Nothing too crazy, since FW did a great job of decorating these guys stock out of the package.

@Depthcharge - I don't think he needs more - looks great as is, although I think pre-paint and possibly (if you're inclined) GS-details on the leg greaves, he strikes me a lot like a champion as opposed to a praetor.

Thanks for the ideas, I was thinking about green stuffing, but my abilities are a bit limited. What do you have in mind for detailing? Does he need a robe?

thx chaplain. It's all stuff I had lying around for ages. now I am beginning to suspect that painted minis somehow use more display space (running out fast) than unpainted!

 

Let's see, the depths of my forges may yet have something special in store for a fifth vow...

@Armond- Thanks. To be honest I'm not very pleased with it yet. Hopefully that will change as I get more of it done. And I love that short barrelled autocannon!

 

@Balthamal- Agreed. Not only do they look great but they're a joy to paint as well. I'm seriously considering getting five more!

 

@depthcharge12- Great kitbashing there! I agree with chaplain mortis, the praetor looks fine as he is, more might even be a bit too much.

 

@Nehekare- There ain't much beats a Sturmtiger... even less  so if its in the hands of Iron Warriors! Nice tanks.

That land speeder is fantastic. Especially the hazard stripes. That's something I'm still struggling with myself. And Love the shotgun scout's pose.

 

@chaplain mortis - Still a lot to be done, but I'm making progress. Besides, I'll only work on sunday nights this summer so I'll have plenty of time for painting. Just undercoated ten salamanders and I have been painting the whirlwind as well and it's starting to look better.
