@Reyner...your so right! Gah! I have left flash on all those shoulderpads like that..lol I thought they were meant to look like that haha..im just gonna play it off as reinforced shoulderpads haha..as for the silver,

I use two different methods...for the backpacks, elbows, knees and toes (knees and toes)..I use boltgun metal..washed heavy with nuln oil then sponged with chainmail..

For the face plates shoulderpads and trim I use a 50/50 mix of bgun metal and chainmail..wash with nuln oil then just rivets and extreme edges picked out in chainmail..hope that helps and cheers for commenting.

 

@Raass...what a great comment from you! Cheers mate...if it helps, I cant paint Nightlords..I find the lightning and terror masks to frustrating. .lol they end up looking like they belong in TRON haha..hope your vows are going well mate.

@Capt Semper..thank you once again for your replies..and you are so right about black armour and it being a dull colour..I have found the iron armour to be a great help in this thanks to all the metal trim on it..and a bit of weathering powder goes a long way!..also im a very lazy painter..or to be more correct I dont actually like painting lol..so using weathering really helps speed things along..

 

Talking of which..a further 3 finished..will spread the next 5 out over the week as I want to fit another contemptor in aswell (and my eyes are hurting lol)

Great to see progress guys - the HH is really on increasing momentum here!

i wish, my kids just totally acted like a pair of fools, which is not normal for them.  So I had a different level of parenting to do with them...  So I only got the basecoat blue on the 8-man Terror Squad and highlighting on just three of them...  Will see if I can knock them out tomorrow!

Small update, havn't done much, i just finished the count as tarantulas and started to paint the typhon( which is the worst vehicle i have ever assembled. Every part was bend, strong mold lines and the left half is not fully fleshed out. Took me over a week to build it)

Excellent work there Passeltov..sorry to hear about the trouble you have had with the typhon, if it helps...from the picture you cant tell there are any defects..

Great weathering on all the models and cant wait to see the predators!

Quick question Cap. Am I able to amend my vow at all? Turns out the stuff I was waiting for from ebay never existed in the first place but Paypal are playing hardball with actually refunding my money so sadly a good 250 points of said vow won't be appearing

I understand your frustration and the fact that's out of your hands and through no fault of your own - so I'll make a small deviation from the rules and allow you to substitute the 250pts with another unit(s) of equivalent value. If you cannot find a substitute 250pts from your stash (I understand you already lost money on this transaction) then given the circumstances I'll accept the lowering of the vow by 250.

Looking back, you are correct.  All 14 Butchers are finished and have been rocking the table for a month or so.  I will get a family shot up this evening.

 

 

I will be also post start and finish for my second vow (Khârn and Typon).
