Ok I've finally gotten myself back in the saddle after a pretty crappy 6 weeks of life in general so without further ado, here is a nice collection of completions and some WIP shots of the stuff still in the pipeline. 11 days to go and out of them I'll have 4 with which to paint anything. I'm up for the challenge!

I have a moriat, Librarian on a jetbike, and a whole host of other Legion goodness. But I'll focus for now and get these done :P

@ Balthamal: This is the darkes dark blue I've seen on NLs. Love it! :tu: Good luck with what's remaining - we have almost 2kpts at stake here. No pressure...

 

@ The Or: They look great! I have an unnatural fixation with the SoH sea green - so ask all SoH painters to share their recipe... I swear everyone has a different take on what the "proper" shade is - and I like them all! So tell us, how did you do yours? Congratulations on your completion! :)

@Captain Semper: Thanks! The recipe is:

 

black basecoat

roughly a 50/50 mix of white scar and vallejo german camo dark green

heavy wash of nuln oil

another coat of the green, without painting the crevices

small amounts of nuln oil applied where needed, along with sponged on ironbreaker, to give the impression of wear and tear

What better way to visually represent the myriad, disturbing and ever changing landscape of the Warp than with Eye Burningly bright rubber mats? they also help keep dice rolling noise down and from our expensive FW models from breaking upon hard contact. :p

I SW1 vow to paint a Stormlord with 1 pair of sponsons (with lascannon and twin-linked heavy flamers) and space marine crew for a total of 545 points (if it's wrong please correct me).

Hey I feel you Brother. I have to use a bunch of those pads under my Drum Kit so my Cymbal Stands and Floor Toms, etc. don't slide away from me during play. Solution I had to keep the eye burning down to nigh existent levels was by turning them over - Mine had a grey/dark grey underside.

 

If anything, the bright red helps show us how dark you've actually painted the blue of your Night Lords. Makes it all the more striking.

I'm plugging along with my 1st legion :) I put on some more base coats for the first five, they need a few more then a wash. I plan to add freehand too.

 

Ugh I just want to rush through this and complete my vow, but I'm restraining it so I put out quality models that I'd be happy to plop on the table

Better pics will happen before the end of the ETL. I just need to cram as much time into painting as possible. I will NOT be loosing the completed points due to this 2nd vow!!!

Passeltov: I know, it just took me an hour until i realised it's futile trying to do it on the computer, everytime i try to paste the img in the post nothing happens.
