I enjoyed the novella Hellbound Heart, but it was kind of abused by the movies. They were far more sinister in the book without the need the silliness that came in the movies. Again, I am really looking forward to seeing what you can come up with, as what you have done so far is superb.

id avoid hellraiser revelations then if you found the films silly. it was one of the worse films ive ever seen, only slightly better than the robocop remake...

REGIMENTS OF THE B&C

Give it a look and convert the non-believers to the true powers.

 

 

So I'm complentating the idea of a chimera but I'm debating (as usual between me and my multiple personnalities)

1. Bits of plastics are pilling up so I should rather stay focus on mini only ?
2. Should I do a cult or a traitor chimera ?
3. For which god ?
   • Nurgle?  the most obvious and easiest to do
   • Slaneesh? would be coherent with what I've built so far
   • Tzeentch ? would work with The Menagerie cult I'm planning to built
   • Khorne ? what would a Khorne vehicule look like
   • Chaos undivided? sounds a bit meeehhh

 

So I need your help to decide

I'd go for Slaanesh or Tzeentch. Like you say, it'll fit with your current or planned stuff.

Yeah maybe you're right and reasonnable

I should think about it and procrastinate

Which will give me less time to buy and built anything

 

or that could be the start of a side project like Khorne or Nurgle traitors

Or a genestealer cult but I'm not sure it's allowed to display it here

or oh a squarrel !!!

 

 

To me a cult and a traitor guard are way different.

The traitor guard would be motorized and "militarized" meaning just taken over a vehicule and "personnalized" it.

The cultists are just a bunch of deviant fanatics, lunatic enough to march for days to go to combat at the side of CSM or lurking in the shadows of the hive.

Khimera: just add saws in front and some wonderful blood spatter/gore/body parts. Then slap a nice big icon of Khorne on it somewhere. Perhaps create camo netting that is held in place by skulls on spikes.

I would be interested to see how a Tzeentch Chimera would work. Part of me would want to see it sort of disconnected. Maybe build it and then cut it in cubes that are separated by some hot glue, sufficiently weird/Tzeentchian I suppose.

of course I would have chosen a different approach from the traditional one :)

 

A vehicle stolen for the Menagerie is slowly growing on me. I would probably keep it pretty simple but with quickly hand painted Tzeentch blue marks

it would be logical to have a Slaneesh vehicle too but my interpretation of S is not as literal and it is actually difficult for me to picture what a traitor guard armed with a gun worshipping S would look like. Of course I could always start the easy way and make a mutated cadian but neehhh to easy :) 

Maybe a female guard with punk hair Escher style?

Fair enough, it was more an answer to "How do I make a Khorne Khimera" rather than anything you may or may not want to do.

What I meant was maybe not the blood because, and I guess it´s a matter of personal taste, I often think that it hides good details of the mini

To me Khorne followers are a bunch of berserk maniacs on steroids and I have trouble figurine them patient enough to stay in a can before starting to kill each over :D

so a Khorny it´s more a half naked wrestler with an axe in each hands running across the battlefield mocking the bullets :D :D

 

but yes, skulls and pikes, probable a front blade or even lateral ones

Few days ago, Demon2027 PM me asking me how I would kitbash Pink Horrors. So he is trying to see if he can still trigger my HADD. 

The only specification was try to keep them GW Horror style and if possible with the original heads.

I had a squad of horrors assembled to practice my wash technic and some bits left but kitbashing was so much fun that I actually started to rip them apart (so now I´m back to square 1)

In my (chaos) book, Tzeentch is limit less. 

These are the most "conventional" horrors. 

Let me know if there is anyone you like cause now ... I have to built ... again ... 10 of them...

I'm still a huge fan of the last metal Horrors where they looked like horrors within/part of another horror. Reminded me of the old Pink & Blue horrors.

 

And I share your view that Tzeentch is limitless.

This one is actually a current WIP of a bigger mutated cultist. It just received an Horror head for the exercise.

I am just bringing out your inner Tzeentch :) Thanks for posting them up, I still need to work on my daemons, all Tzeentch of course. I also agree on the old metal ones, like I said in the pm, having blues trying to pull themselves out of pinks is a perfect image for Tzeentch.

I'd love to see what you did with a Tzeentch or Slaanesh Chimera.

 

A bit late for my input perhaps, but in the past when I GS'd horns I made small pins into the head first and GS'd over them to make the horns. The one weren't the full length of the horns, or even particularly indicative of shape, but did give them strength.

Well I would have to figure out first it is going to be a vehicle for a cult or a traitor guard :)

The style of the khimera tends to drag me to the traitors

My vision of chaos is pretty something brutal and it goes for all the gods.

I think with Tzeentch I would do a mutant warband and some crazy daemons and for Slaneesh a female guard.

So both of them would be pretty simple conversion, I guess. 

 

Well it always start in my mind with an easy conversion and I always end up complicating things... every time :D

Love the horns and tail! My only bit of advice would be to support the horn/tail inside to save heartbreak in the future If you're not already, I'd suggest forming the horns around a piece of wire (a bit of paper clip works nicely) drilled into the head. That way you can get the lengths of both just right, adjust to your heart's content, and then build the greenstuff up around a solid core, which'll help make them a bit more solid.

 

Thanks Apologist. It´s a great idea. It actually works better for me, in my approach of the hobby, to form them around a structure as you suggest.

Your excellent use of the sisters of slaughter has convinced me that i need to use one as the basis for a Sister of Cydonia Adeptus Mechanicus assassin, and this head in particular seems to sit in a blurred juncture between the skull-with-cog-halo emblem I'm using for my Knightly House and the more ornate of recent Necron releases with similar crests. Thanks for the inspiration :)
