I got a pack of 10 to basically "practice" for the TWC but I would love it if you still are going to do a tutorial for them I think the variation is pretty amazing. My Bjorn was stolen at a local shop several days ago. I have no doubt that the All-Father will not be bringing the guilty parties and gifts at the end of this month. Just some psychic coal residue. I joke, but it was a :cussty thing to happen. So in his place, I am painting up one of my Blizzy Dreads. I got all antsy in my pantsy and put his base blue down before pictures. And I am running out of it fast!! It's darker than Kantor Blue, it's a little more purple. Not purple, as you can see, but is closer to it on the color spectrum. Its close to the Vallejo 'Night Blue' and.or the P3 'Exile Blue'. Highlights on the armor are done with Hoeth Blue then Hoeth Blue and Skull White 3/1 and lastly Fenrisian Grey with a touch of white mixed in. Bjorn will be missed and if I would of expected him to wander off, I would of brought my old metal model along with my old metal Canis and put them into a sock to smack the culprit upside his :cussing head!! Today is going to be a painting day for me now that I have my 10 new Grey Hunters built up and ready to prime. I find if I have a building project going in tandem with a painting project, I am less likely to burn out on either. Next assembly project is my StormGrrr. I am painting on the Fen and Thunderwolves. FenrisWolf. This guy is a true champion of Fenris. He gifted me a pot of Necron Abyss, the discontinued foundation paint that I use on as my base color of armor. Paid the shipping too!! I wanted to tell you all that this is the kind of brotherhood I think of when I think of the Sons of Russ. A good turn deserves another so if you feel like being helpful, reach out to another member of the chapter, be it here on the B&C (mind the p's and q's = RoC), or at your local shop!! As some of you may know, I have a upcoming 1850 point game against the dastardly (not really, he's quite kind) Bladewolf. He has posted his list enough times that I have it burned into my retina. BURNED!! I am not going to regale you with it, but I am sure if you are half competent at using search, you'll find it. Now the back story of our match is that while his lord was off gallivanting around the galaxies, he befriended some other chapter and they are all buddy-buddy now. So Logan (my army) and his friends are on their way to lay down the law. Reign in the upstarts, if you will. So my question, nay typed thought process goes like this. I want to keep the fluff and thematics to the forefront (nothing new here), so I'll be running Logan. I am thinking about a TDAWL and three 5man packs of TDAWGs as well. I am running into (list)writers block after that. I had joked about running Fen Wolves due to their undeniable ability to quash the power of Centurions. So I almost feel obligated to run at least a single pack of them. TDA has been reduced in cost as has the TWC. I want to focus on the elite side of the codex (I'll be running CoF...der) so I will bring both units. I am thinking a single TWC blob, 5 or 6 strong will do. No flyers allowed!! They can't play in our pillow fort!! They're GROSS!! hmmm, I always think of weird :cuss an yet it still amazes me that I write most of it down. Ahhhh, but life is a book. I guess that's it. For now. ( not to mention running that list was a little too effective ) So I am going to be playing something a tad bit more conventional and fun. That being said I would think maybe you would wanna run a wolf priest for feel no pain on your man squad of TDA Dudes I reckon were gonna end up with a maelstrom mission cause killpoints wont be even ( TBD when were both at the store ) I will put this out there, I am considering one dreadnought that isint murderfang I think you ought to bring a landraider if you can fit it On an aside : I am really looking forward to this game , things are really rough over here so it will be a lot of fun to get a game in. I started amassing my ETL vow models last night, and as long as @Captain Semper lets me enter primed TDAWG with a base color on their armor, we are good to go. If he doesn't, then plan B.
