Black templar upgrade boxes, Grimuldus and Helbrecht. Figured it's about time I picked up our named characters, even if I won't field them often

But on the topic of alternative bits, I wanted something slightly different for my BT honor guard. I suck at green stuff and my bitz box is nearly empty so I went for a few of these:

These are from Anvil Industries, Exo-Lord cloaks, robed legs and robedrobed torsos. Quality is very good, not sure of exact plastic makeup but feels softer than standard gw plastic. I treated them as you would finecast and all turned out well. When I get back from work today I'll post a few pics of the finished products. I would add that the scale is ever so slightly off, they are a couple of mm shorter than standard marines. Not a problem for me and adding packs to the back of the cloaks, even with the existing gap for them is a massive ball ache. Needed significant cutting.

EDIT: Here are my Honor guard:

Hail brothers,

I was skimming the Spellcrow November releases and noticed the following:

Helmets

Torsos

Neophyte Tabard Torsos

Thought some of you might appreciate the heads up.

I took a quick loot and their stuff looks nice, but there doesn't seem to be anything to mesh well with those torsos. So you have a tabard on your chest, but then nothing below the belt? Or you use robed legs? (which isn't right for tabards)

I quite like the left head and the Neophyte torsos would be a nice change of pace, assuming they actually fit with SM Scout arms.  Those things are a poor fit even on their intended torsos :tongue.:

The Marine torsos seem rather mooshed though, very broad and squat.

Like the heads quite a lot. Will definitely work well if I ever do some Templar terminators in my 30k army.

Hmmm... They WOULD make for quite fancy terminator helmets. I don't outright dislike Indomitus helmets for example, but they are my least favorite part about them. Then again, same goes for Tartaros :P 10 helmets would be just enough for my melee terminators + tartaros terminators, assuming I make the latter indeed templars.

I.e "Burly".

I really like the helmets as well and didn't think to use them on termies,. Thanx Psycho.

The torsos I like as well because they are different and the most annoying part of adding tabards. I can see using those torsos and then just GS'ing the lower parts. That would work very well for me.

Thanx, for the heads up on these.

Cheers,

I bought two sets of each! Cant wait to add some more diversity to my crusade! I wrote them feedback asking for even more Templar bits!

Well, as soon as you can show some examples of their bits on figures, that would be a most welcome addition.

Cheers,
