Awesome looking EC Theredknight! You've used the white shoulder pads and helmets to great effect. It really makes them look like an elite formation.

Would you mind sharing the recipe for the purple? :)

@ kizz yes of course, I used chaos black undercoat, xereus purple base, wash drucii violet, drybrushed half xereus purple and half genestealer purple, glazed guilliman blue and just a few highlights of genestealer purple.

White was celestra grey, then ulthuan grey then white scar

I dotted a bit of white here and there as I'd think that they'd have veterans thrown in there as well as some noobs.

@ Jaspcat yes there's a few bits dotted in there from the ec pack, I even bought a soh brass etch Friday also as some veterans had the eye of Horus on their armour to denote their service with the warmaster, and possible lodge involvement.

I just fancied mk3s, but changing the bolters to Phobos, they are much chunkier.

although I agree most others will be mk4 with some of the new kits splashed in there :-)

Thanks guys I'm really enjoying painting these, as I'm Used to painting armies of red (red horde nids, and blood angels) it's nice to paint

Something a little special.

Plus I really enjoyed spending hours modelling and converting an Eidolon, and a Saul Tarvitz whilst listening to galaxy of flames earlier, I accidentally bought an EC contemptor..so might have to do myself a rylanor as well!!

Also stuck to mk4s together (manageable to paint) so will stick the first 5 up, then a nice picture of 20 :-)

Best of all, when I get to my Phoenix guard and palatine blades, il be listening to fulgrim!!
