Looking forward to seeing it!

One of the most unbelievable army logs I have ever seen. Your speed and precision defy belief. I cannot wait to see whatever you do next!

once again great work on the new tank  and that knight:thumbsup:  very nice

you go girl you painting demon

Awesome! Fellblade's a very brutal looking tank and really looks good in Death Guard colours. Great work.

This is all painted beautifully, these death guard makes me cry tears because of their perfection.  Keep the great work up.

thanks guys! your feedback really keeps me motivated :smile.:

Death Guard Legion Mars pattern Hunter-Alpha [count-as Whirlwind Hyperios]

The Hunter-Alpha is the first known dedicated anti-aircraft tank fielded by the Legiones Astartes. Prior to the discovery of the STC for the Hunter, Space Marine Legion forces hat attempted to retrofit various designs to the Whirlwind artillery vehicle, with largerly negative results. Though a stable pattern of anti-aircraft Whirlwind was ultimately achieved in the Hyperios before the mass-production of the Hunter starts, several Legions have continued to use the hard to manufacture Hunter prototype tanks on many battlefields. During the First Battle for Mars, the Imperial Fists saved the Hunter STC, and used the Hunter tanks during the defence of Terra and the following Scouring Era ....

My Vindicator is now also finished :smile.:

Death Guard Legion Mars pattern Vindicator [Vehicle number VII, 7th Siege cadre]

As with the Predator, the less-than-complete records of this vehicle's history state that it was first deployed during the Dark Age of Technology. The reason for the Vindicator's design was the high casualties taken by many human military forces during combat in dense forests and the concrete jungles of urban areas. Some document fragments found in the Librarius Omnis on Mars have indicated that a certain General Vindictus requested the design of a vehicle from the Forge World of Mars with a high calibre weapon that could shatter heavily protected targets with highly angled weapons fire, and at the same time was still mobile enough to keep up with advancing troops. The chassis of the Rhino was used as the foundation for the first Vindicators, with its front refitted with a high calibre weapon and reinforced with thicker armour plating. With this, the transport ability of the Rhino chassis is forfeited for ammunition stowage and a larger engine. These upgrades lowered the top speed of the vehicle, but were necessary for the large cannon to be fitted. More armour plating was added to the top hull to protect the tank from elevated attacks.

Hunters... My absolute favorite rhino-chassis tank. I love it so hard I think I'm leaving cracks on the floor.

I'll have to try putting on the front of a vindicator, demolisher cannon and siege shield included, on a deimos rhino. I dislike the deimos vindicator but a mars one would clash with deimos rhinos and predators.

Apparently there's an Index Astartes for the hunter and the stalker... Did your introduction information come from that?

Holy cow, you work fast! Even better is that you retain the same high quality despite the speed, which is outstanding. The weathering is top notch, as are your more finer details.

Great work as usual, Atia! Keep it up!

:thanks:  heathens !

Really wishing you were on the Loyalist side of things for the Casual Challenge :tongue.:

2 spartans, 2 rhinos, 1 dreadnought, 34 power armour marines to go and than i'll do salamanders :tongue.:

nope, it's my own fluff, there isn't any information when the hunter cames into service (just about the stalker, but i think thats more like the crusader/redeemer to the phobos) from GW atm, but back in the old days of epic, he was the only AA tank. FW sad in the first edition of IA:2 that the hunter is older than the hyperios, and we can use the hyperios in our HH armys. Also in the new edition of IA:2, they say that the hunter/stalker are harder to produce than the hyperios.

Hi ponies!

Great weathering on your vehicles! Can you tell me what you use?

A tutorial would be great if you have the time/inclination :smile.:

Will do a step-by-step guide in the future, but i have send you a roughly guide per pm :tongue.:

Good reasoning for the Hunter-Alpha.

I can't comment on the plaguebearers because I can't stand anything Nurgle. :tongue.:

thanks :tongue.:. I'm a chaos fan since 2nd edition, and the new plaguebearers are awesome models, i can't withstand them, but i will do daemons of all four gods in the future (f. e. a small khorne army led by Valkia <3)

Wow, this thread has piles and piles of awesomeness! The vehicles are fantastic. Great work all around!

:thanks:

It's time for group-pictures!!

I fear Valkia doesn't exist in the grim darkness of the far future. My evidence? Khorne is still a little bit about martial honor in Fantasy, but only about mass murder in 40,000. Conclusion: Khorne actually gets laid in Fantasy. Valkia is stated to be his concubine there, after all.

Yeah, but she's stated as daemonqueen, and all daemons(+princes) are in both versions the same (atleast the princes' who weren't marines before ascension, look at belakor, he gets 40k rules after how long? 5+ years?). It's just lazyness from GW that Valkia hasn't rules or a dataslate for 40k. Also, c'mon, she's Khornes Girlfriend :smile.: (and we need some cool girls in 40k!)

Our chaos gods are growing up.  Khorne and nurgle both have girlfriends now, slaanesh is still going through his/she/it teenage years.  We just have to get Tzeentch from stop playing chess with Creed and maybe enjoy the warp a little.

Anyway love the two addition of the vehicles, breath taking as usual.  What are your plans for the plague bearers paint scheme?

Hehe :biggrin.: I want to do them with a light-green, blight scheme with bloody innards and rusty blades, but i need some Vallejo paints to start them ...

loving what you are doing though might i suggest a dark wash on some of the metals to keep it more in with the realistic look of the rest of the vehicles as they stand out a bit clean to me

thanks for the feedback ppotts, which metals/parts do you mean? the vindicators missile launcher?

WIP Castra Ferrum Dreadnought

1st part of my 30k Casual Challange pledge for this month, you can't have enough Dreadnoughts :biggrin.:
