The Correlius Crusade, Battle brother Silas Alberec wip

Greetings brother's (I Hope a have not posted this in the wrong place)

In anticipation of the new amounts of psyker spam I expect to see in my gaming area, I decided to have a go at making Silas Alberec http://www.forgeworld.co.uk/Downloads/Product/PDF/C/Charcterupdate.pdf to assist my crusade, and try and tip the dice in my favour with denying those witch rolls! here's where Im at so far.

I know he is supposed to have a power mace, but im struggling to find anything suitably large and ornate enough to work (any suggestions would be appreciated) but i feel the hammer will do for now. He is meant to be the size of an ogryn and I wandered if people feel the scaling is ok? as im doing this all by eye. Im also not sure about the pose I can swap the arm with the demon head for a bolt pistol as that is his other listed wargear but being an exorcist it would be befitting that he'd just killed a bloodletter so im not sure what else I could do, again any suggestions would be greatly appreceiated.

Umm, where did you get that incredibly awesome looking front torso from?

 

Regarding Silas himself, I like him a lot. Very nice. I do think that you should hold out for some additional feedback on the mace/hammer. I agree with you that a hammer will work (counts as), but considering the effort you are going through to get him together, I don't really think you should settle for a lesser concept. So leave it for now, but definitely keep the creative hat on for awhile longer.

Considering how epic Silas is looking, are you considering making a vow in the E Tenebrae Lux inter-forum painting competition for him?

Thanks for the input Honda,

The torso comes from the deathwing command squad box (as im also in the progress of converting/debadgeing some terminators for my crusade) but yeah I feel it works well for what im trying to achieve. Definitely will hold out for more input on the mace.

As for the ETL I hadn't considered making a vow but I guess now would be a good time to start, could also add in my terminators I will have to look into it futher.

Was just thinking, don't the Deathwing termies come with some censers that might work as a foundation for a mace head?
