Excellent stuff - your Custodians look incredibly intimidating with the green eyes.

Cheers! :smile.: The Custodians are still WIP at the moment (more highlights required on the gold) which is why I haven't shown any close-up photos of them yet. The plastics are so huge that they fit in quite nicely with the true scale stuff! :ohmy.:

Nice, I remember a similar sword sheath from that 2nd edition term captain

Cheers guys. :) I'm glad people have spotted the tribute to the old Captain model, as that's what I was going for. :cool.:

I've finally - finally - finished my Marine with Volkite Charger who was previewed earlier in the thread. Only took a year or so! :ohmy.: :cool.:

Nothing new as such today, just a nice group shot (if I do say so myself) that I took for my Instagram:happy.:

After spending so long on each individual model, it's quite satisfying to see them start to come together as a group. :smile.:

That looks like proper CHOOM!

Prepare for a visit from the Martian Death Ray Club! :biggrin.:

He's looking awesome – really enjoying seeing these guys build up :smile.:

Thanks guys! :biggrin.:

Wow man! The LED stuff is awesome! It looks amazing in low light.

Do you think you could do this with regular plastic guys? Would they be too small?

Thank you, that's very kind. :smile.:

Oh yes, very easily. The original version of Team Fisto was actually in a slightly more normal scale. But the current Team Fisto heads are essentially the same size as the standard plastic heads, so we know the standard heads would work with the LEDs. It doesn't matter if the plastic torsos and legs are smaller, just so long as there's enough room to hide the wire, which there will be. :smile.:

I do have some vague aspirations to eventually put together some normal scale Dark Angels using the plastic Mk IVs (you heard it here first! ;) ), so watch this space I guess. But first, must make more Fisto Breachers!

Lieutenant Artem swallowed hard and licked his dry lips as walked, making a very conscious effort not to slow down as he approached the towering Astartes. There were just so massive up close. Like heroic statues that had stepped down from their pedestals to make war on lesser mortals. His injury had excused him front-line duties for the moment, and his regiment need a liaison with the VII Legion muster in this part of the siege lines...so here he was.

Last night I painted this Imperial Army trooper simply so I now have a 'normal' human to stand around next the Marines in Team Fisto photos and give them a sense of scale. :biggrin.:

Lovely stuff, as ever. Your continued progress is awesome to see, and I will be adding your instagram forthwith!

I would be intrigued to see you doing slightly more modern Dark Angels - LEDs shining from underneath hooded robes would be fantastic.

Thank you Commissar Molotov. :happy.: Hmmm, interesting thought about the hooded robes. When I picture HH Dark Angels, I imagine a less monk/knight look and more something like this guys below (he was a True Scale LED prototype that I believe I posted earlier in this thread); basically black, with red and white details and very few Legion-specific decorations.

But having said that, I remember there being a couple of pictures in Collect Visions with HH-era Dark Angels with hoods and glowing eyes underneath that looked bad-ass, so I may reconsider for one or two models. :biggrin.: Thanks for the idea!

Hoods and cowls could also work for Recon squads, if you want to keep things Fisto. Similarly, no reason a hooded tabard or two couldn't be used for some Huscarls or Templars, which'd fit in very nicely with your Stone Gauntlet army...

Another excellent idea, thank you Apologist. :cool.: I would definitely like to look at Fisto Templars at some point.

"My Armour is Contempt"

After previewing it probably well over a year ago, I've finished painting my Contemptor Dreadnought with motorised Assault Cannon. :smile.:

Genuinely don't think there's a superlative that covers a motorised assault cannon, so have an emote:

:jawdrop::jawdrop::jawdrop:

The rest of the model is excellent too, obviously :smile.:

THAT IS THE MOST AWESOME THING I HAVE EVER SEEN.

Thanks very much guys! :happy.:

Excellent work. What did you use to make the volkite charger's muzzle flash?

Thank you. :smile.: The volkite muzzle flash is a piece I sculpted myself from scratch, and then cast in resin.

Well now .... that happened. Bravo!

At first I questioned why bother and then I saw it and I thought well that was frikking cool.

Haha, thanks. :happy.: Oh no, don't say "why bother", I'll start to question all of Team Fisto and indeed my whole existence, haha! No, seriously though, I guess just to demonstrate that it could be done. And there's a lot more in that vein coming up for Team Fisto! My next Contemptor will be armed with twin-linked lascannons. Yes they will be "working", no they won't be LEDs...
