Quick question for you guys, Delvarus is described in the Dramatic Personae of Betrayer as Centurion, Delvarus Triarii squad, 44th Company. Do you think this means that other companies will have their own Triarri squads?

'been out of the WE aspect of the hobby for a couple of months, but will update here when Brass Scorpion is finished. :)

Also:

Brothers of the sands will my Traitor Space Wolves be welcome here? We will of course swear fealty to the Crimson Angel

I don;t see why not, buddy! Khorne cares not from whence the blood flows, and neither do we. :tu:

Has anyone made use of FW hell blades or dread claws?  Are they worth getting a hold of?

Yes on the helblades and I dare say they are the best anti-flyer flyers in the game. I've been thinking of putting a dual heavy flamer claw contemptor in a dreadclaw lately and do really thing it is a viable option...

The World Eaters Triarii is a single formation - quoted as "five hundred of Angron's best, led by the Legion's undisputed pit-fighting champion, under oath to defend the flagship."

I doubt they are parceled out to other companies.

Morning guys!

It's been a little while since I've sat down and painted a legit XII legionnaire. But since I've gotten an actual decent start to gaming with them, I suppose they deserve to be painted. So I need a little constructive criticism.

I tried to tell a little story with all of his wounds and weathering.

What do you like, what can be improved?

Thanks for the feed back guys.

@ Krieg - I tried to keep the blood effects to wounds and the business ends of his weapons. All about subtlety ^_^

I wanted to try to see if I could believably paint damaged ceramite with the paint burnt or scraped away. That's what the brown/black edges are supposed to be. Suppose I need a bit more practice.

@ Relict - haha love it. Well I would assume at least the shot to the right pectoral is his since he's respirating blood from the vent in his helm.

@ Midnight - Thanks! I think I probs should have darkened it a bit more towards black though, to help distinguish it from the Gun gray ceramite.

I think that the bare ceramite should look more scorched except at the edges of the bare/paint divide to create that effect. Also, the white line at that very edge on the right arm might be more convincing if much dirtier or even black.

Yay! Flint is back, and with a vengeance!

What I like is the crisp blue, the superb white, and the dead eye idea.

What could be improved is the bare armour around the dead eye, which to me look kinda like a metal coloured birth mark atm. Does that make sense? I get that it's supposed to be damage, but the edges are just too straight. Perhaps you could add some more chipping to it?

:tu: glad you're back, Flint!!

Hey guys, I'm looking to get some pictures of my stuff up on here on Sunday but for the time being I'd like to ask some advice about my list. I'm running a 30k World Eaters army at 2000 points which will likely grow to 3000 points in the near future.

HQ - Khârn - 170

Elites - Contemptor Mortis w/ 2x Kheres - 185

Elites - 2 Apothecary - 90

Troops - 20 Legionaries, Extra CC WPN, Chain Axes, Vexilla, Power Fist - 320

Troops - 20 Legionaries, Extra CC WPN, Chain Axes, Vexilla, Power Fist - 320

Troops - 15 Assault Marines, 2 Power Mauls, Power Fist - 360

Troops - 5 Support Marines, 5 Graviton, Rhino, Dozer - 215

Heavy - Whirlwind Scorpius - 115

Heavy - Vindicator - 115

Heavy - Deredeo - 185

I did most of the points from memory so if I messed something up I left 25 points unused to compensate. I think I have the right number of infantry to vehicles to allow for the Berzerker Assault list to be used. Flint made some suggestions and so I've stuck to the Berzerker Assault list and added in a scoring Rhino.

I decided to paint it in a slightly different scheme, so to set it apart from its twin (pictured a few posts up).

And here is the 77th mustered at its current full strength. Next up: Spartan.

A little preview of what's to come... A model of this size and complexity is easier to paint when you do it in subassemblies. I added in some extra brass sections because I know Flint digs it. Ladies dig armor plating in general. :P
