I'm going to be living about four blocks from the White House and won't have a car but there's the metro to use to get to any stores that might not be in that part of town. Thunderhawk3015 Posted August 4, 2014 Share Posted August 4, 2014 Try Victory Comics in falls church. Some walking required unless you want to use the metro bus(which takes longer) to get there. You can take the orange line to the end then hop a bus to the GW at fair oaks mall. Only thing I can saw about the GW store is that unless you only want to praise GW and everything the company does/releases it might not be the best place to go, but that is just my personal experience. Darkn3ssF4lls Posted August 23, 2014 Share Posted August 23, 2014 (edited) There's a group that meets regularly once a month out in Silver Springs, great group of guys with 3-4 tables setup for Warhammer 40k or Fantasy [depending on who attends]. They generally run 1,500 points or lower armies to get as many games in in the day as possible. Their usual meetup place is a short walk from a bus 10-15 minute bus ride away from the Glenmont stop, although they are very friendly and have been known to pick people up. If that doesn't work, you have a short walk from the Falls Church Metro to ether Victory Comics or The Complete Strategist. I prefer the Complete Strategist, although Victory comics has a great selection of bags and models, they seemed very commercial and big, the attendant barley answered my questions. On the other hand The Complete Strategist was very down to earth, answered all my questions and gave me some great advice. They have games every Saturday there, at least a game they had 2-3 tables setup in there as well. There is another one that I'm going to research soon, see how the people are it lists having quite a few followers i'll report back and let you know. I hope this is helpful to you ! The lighting was great for painting, the proprietor was very interested in helping out and making it a fun environment for us to play.
