Tzeentchian Daemon Prince kitbash

So, first off, I will not claim originality in this build. I admittedly "borrowed" this idea after see fellow forum user Guitarasmus and his Tzeentch speed painted daemons thread wherein he showed his Tzeentch kitbash.

I HAD to try it for myself. I present here the end result:

So, C&C is welcome. And I really really hope that Mr Guitarasmus is okay with me copping his idea. He is a big influence on my work. Heck pretty much everything that appears on the venerable B&C is so eye-poppingly inspirational.

Many thanks for the kind words. Two kits, daemon prince and flamespire phoenix plus the icon from the horrors and greenstuff. I imagine not too many around because it's expensive enough for one model.

Lot of fun putting it together. Just a bit of cutting required to accommodate the wings and tail. I'm pretty happy with it.

I just need to actually put a daemon army together really. But that's a ways off. Got my Night Lords on the go.

Wow. This is easily the best Daemon Prince I've ever seen!

If you don't mind, I'd like to copy that idea, too smile.png

Go right ahead man. It's gone kinda "open source" now anyways. Not that it was my idea in the first place.

Glad people are liking it!

Of course I'm okay with it - the whole point of these forums is to share ideas, not just a way of getting virtual pats on the back. :-)

TT: What a great interpretation, and an amazingly cool colour scheme. I absolutely love it. :-)

Btw, I ended up ditching the project, because I found that a pure Tzeentch army was way too powerful for my taste. A buddy of mine offered to paint the army for a third buddy, in the same colour scheme, and it has just been finished a few days ago. I'll get some pictures soon, a whole army of blue/purple/pink gradients looks insane. :-D

Again, great work, I love it. :-)

Sorry to hear you ditched it. You have severely good paint skills. I would love to see how it all turned out though.

Sigh.  I don't know why I even own brushes anymore.  You want them?

Yeah, stellar work.  Please tell me the fire gradient was done with airbrush.  I don't wanna rack my brain trying to think of how I could mimic that with a regular brush. :P

I'm very sorry firepower, all hand brushed, I don't own an airbrush and I'm quite scared of them... The fire gradient is a mixture of base coats, accents, drybrushing and lots of washing.

Then at least tell me it took months and months of work, at least three sacrificed chickens, and the surrender of your first born to whatever wretched demon granted you these powers.

Yeah, I kinda figured on the washes if nothing else.  Airbrushes aren't scary at all though.  Once you get to know them, anyway ;)
