Only Thallax Cohort Red, the Krios battle tank and the Knight moved a bit forward and opened fire. In each killa kan mob one kan lost a hull point. The Hellex Plasma Mortar of the Thanatar destroyed the killa kan in the mob to the left. The dickey orkish walkers staggered forward. The Battlewagon moved around the ruin. Together with the Morkanaut he opened up fire at Cohort Red. The Krios fired at the killa kan mob that already lost a kan and also caused a hull point lose. The Orks got reinforcements in form of a Dakka-Jet. The driver of the battlewagon tried to move through a crate but immobilized his vehicle. The combined fire of the Jet and the battlewagon killed another Thallaxi of Cohort Red. The Big Mek and his Meganob bodyguard left the tank and stormed into both Thallax cohorts. They killed two of Cohort Black and one of Cohort Red. Cohort Black activated their security protocolls and draw back from the fight. Gawain and his Knight decided to face the remaining eight ork walkers alone. He fired at the Morkanaut and caused a glanzing hit. After that he stormed into the intact killa kan mob and destroyed all three. Arch Magos Mourndark left his position to face the Big Mek. The Big Mek killed the rest of Cohort Red. The two mobs Flash Gitz left the Gorkanaut and the Morkanaut and opened fire at the Archmagos with no effect. Both mighty walkers prepared together with the deff dread to face the Knight. Godslayer made his name honor by killing the Morkanaut with his reaper chainsword. In return the Gorkanaut ripped the knight apart. The titanic explosion destroyed the Deff Dread, robbed the Gorkanaut three of his hull points, ripped one of the two remaining Killa Kans apart and killed eight of the Flash Gitz. The Big Mek hurled a challange toward Archmagos Mourndark. Disgusted by the parody of his own rang by the filthy alien, he faced the xeno and killed him. Both bodyguards killed two of their opponents. The other decided that it would be wiser to flee. Thallax Cohort Black killed one of the Meganobs. The Thanatar moved through the ruin. He unleashed his Hellex Plasma Mortar and the Mauler Bolter Cannon at the meganobs and killed them all. Cohort Black fired at the Gorkanaut and destroyed him. But 'till the show down of my Knight with all the walkers, i was not very optimistic to have a real chance. So many walker and other elite units had been a big deal. Cactus Posted August 15, 2014 Share Posted August 15, 2014 I agree with Aralia, your army looks fantactic. :tu: What do you think of the maxim bolters on the secutors? On paper they look like a useful cheap way to bulk up the unit but the 12" range makes me think I'd rather spend the extra points for a weapon that will be killing things more often.
