Paint a couple of initiates, a dreadnoughts arm or a turret whatever. Just get them done! Oooh reeeally! hmmm. Would that include units/tanks that don't technically exist ? I've found some old models I got off of ebay and they are in decent enough shape,so I decided to "rescue" them. Since they are already together and have little in the way of extra bling or templarly bitz, I thought it would be cool to have some "new" marnes who have only just attained the rank of Initiate and so don't have much in the way of seals and what not. In other words, "I'm too lazy to add and paint a bunch of bling." So long as it gets painted, the Emperor will approve. More importantly, the Paddleum will approve! Sure, you can prime them and say "Done!" but thanks to Army Painter sprays and airbrushes, anyone can do that with any color But in fairness, painting black well is still easier than painting red, yellow, or white well. Hey, I just painted 10 Sternguard, a Dread, a Techmarine, a Storm Eagle and LRC all loaded down with bling for the ETL. Â Emperor knows I've been rubbish at finishing these in the past, so today I vow a penitent painting crusade to reconstitute my forces in the wake of the shift to seventh edition and the shiny new space marine codex. Â I'm developing a boot slogger list supported by fast attack choices that I plan to pair with a Space Wolf detachment for maximum Germanic brutality, and will be writing a great deal of fluff surrounding the project to post here for everyone's enjoyment.
