In a rumor about codex releases until end of year:

"Codex Inquisition

There was a hint that Sisters of Battle could be included in the Codex."

I am highly skeptical but since it can be fun to speculate I want to ask, would you be willing to be rolled up with the Inquisition (again) if it means new models?

I wouldn't count on it. Those rumors have been pretty far off so far, as well. So as much as I'd love to have an Inquisition hardback/update, even more so some Sisters of Battle, I think it's a long shot.

No... not really. I don't want to be rolled into the Inquisition for the sake of making us Inquisition troops. We're not. We're our own, proud fighting force. I'd rather go back to being two units in a mini codex for use as allies than be rolled back into the Inquisition, to be honest.

The Cardinal and the Canonness both agree: the Church does not need loose cannons of dubious piety sticking their noses into their Holy business.

As a fan of the faction, such a huge part of Imperial life really shouldn't play second fiddle to anybody in a codex. I'd like to see Codex: Ecclediarcy, honestly. Expand on the named HQs, expand on Church only forces. Stick us under the Inquisition again? I'd rather play with the e-codex forever. If they stick us with the =I= I'll still play it, but damned if I let those weirdos anywhere near my Sisters.

If we go back to the very first book, a significant portion of the list was the Frateris Miliia. I would be glad of it's return. If this requires the presence of Inquisitorial, or Arbite oversight to at least maintain the spirit of the decree, well, that's fine by me.

Sisters and ecclieshiarchy only for this Sisters of battle player!

=][= is good as an overpriced ally/ supplemental but why should we be rolled into their dex? Cause the GKs lost their =][= doesn't mean we should br the replacement force

Well, my main codex already got rolled, I suppose I shouldn't be surprised if what is supposed to be(come) my secondary army going forward would end up rolled too dry.png

Still, Inquisition and Ecclesiarchy in the same codex wouldn't necessarily be all bad. Both on their own are basically minidexes, so at least in the sense of making an actual physical book it'd probably be more feasible for GW to combine the two. And it doesn't mean either faction would necessarily suffer as a result. Whatever happens, as long as it does the Sisters justice in fluff and crunch (as in at least not making it worse!), I'm not so fussed. I basically need both books anyway. In the meanwhile I just applied some extra salt to the steaks I was cooking in response to this.

Perhaps it's just a way to make the codex available in a non-digital format? As in "The Inquisition codex is quite small for a hardback. We might aswell throw in the current Adepta Sororitas codex since it doesn't have its own harback either."

Even if it is true it'd likely be similar to the Witch Hunter days in which case you could just ignore the non-Sister elements if you wanted.

Back then we called it a Faithful list.  It was a polite way of saying no boys allowed. No psykers, no IST lascanons, no Inquisitor Lords.  Faithful units only; as in Sisters of Battle with no un-needed tag-alongs.

I was not fond of Witchhunter days.  It always seemed like a forced arangement.  It is true the Adepta Sororitas and the Inquisition can have similar goals but their agendas a quite often at odds.  If you had to combine them in a single book, wouldn't make more sense to have Codex: Ecclesiarchy with the Inqusition being included as a part of that?

More options is better, always will be but with the inclusion of allies in the rules it makes a merged codex seem even less likely. Let me know if we get a new rumour about models, we may as well shove anything else we hear straight into the outbox. Which is also the bin in case you were wondering tongue.png

I thought this was the hardback release of the (up until now) electronic Codex: Inquisition.

Sorritas already have their own eCodex, right? They wont be in this. Even more so as the greyKnights have just had the =][= stripped from their codex.

That edex doesnt even have new shiny units in it, just a lazy excuse. And as there is no hardback cover for it i stil use the White Dwarf version for my Sisters of battle.

GW says sisters dont sell, i say everyone with Sisters of battle already got there army together 14 years ago, why should they keep buying the old metal ones? Gw cant figure that out.

I can't see them rolling two factions into one book. If anything, the trend nowadays is to split armies down into as many separate publications as possible. (Templars apologetically excepted).

Why sell your punters one £30 book when you can sell them two £20 books?

I wouldn't mind if they were lumped in again, TBH. Then again my interest first started with the Witch Hunter Codex. I love the aesthetic of an Inquisitor and his bolter babes running around immolating heretics and psykers. Feels very Gothic/grimdark.

That sororitas ecodex is in the same league with the abomination csm had between 3.5 and now. It shouldn't be mentioned.

Thus spake someone who's never played it. The E-codex is actually a very well written army list.
