I am so happy to present you this. It took me 3.5 years (with breaks of course whre I worked on my Aurora Chapter and Deathwatch) and now there it is:

The whole battalion including its auxilliary forces are on display in the showcase of Games Workshop Karlsruhe (Germany) at the moment.

I love artillery, no wonder my dream was to specialize in this respect. But I don´t like the open  version of GW so it was self-explaining to spend much money on the Forgeworld ones:-) Very very hard to assemble and the barrels are a little bit buckled. A challenge were the two open hatches at the rear.

The Griffon Batteries

I love the old Griffon. It was my favourite tank back in the days I started WH 40 k. Now the New Wyvern looks 10 times so great and I will include 3 of them into this battalion of course later. Still these old tanks had to be for they are still useful and look great.

Of course the real projectile (22 mm ammo , deactivated of course) would not fit into but still it looks so great. Later I show you pictures with a whole bunch of those in a FW carrier. The Leaders have radar device on the front made of a soft drink cap.

I love these Forgeworld Centaur vehicles. I replaced the Death Corps of Krieg and modelled some of my own men. As ammunition I used the same 22mm real-deactivated ammo as before .

That is my love for background rather than winning-in-any-case when it comes to our hobby. I don´t know if those vehicles are very effective in a table top game but still the Basilisks und Griffons need constant "food" to spit, isn´t it? ..and those things by FW look awesome

Of yes sorry:-) and so obvious when you take a ruler and see 22 mm directly *shame*....but in my military service I wasn´t good at shooting, too:-)

Some of you already know, that I am a hobby artist. I love it when things are mixed. This battalion is a patchwork of "old, medium-old , new, GW, Forgeworld stuff". Best displayed in the use of this:

Manticore Batterie

I fell in love with these tanks the fisrt moment I saw them. I dislike the Deathstrike version but the Manticore makes sense to me.

You see I don´t provide all my tanks with all 4 missiles. Why? Because I have auxillary forces, which re-arm them in battle I show you soon. I love the GW idea that you can paint the cockpit with the pilot if you like to:-)

The Sentinel Power Liferts are by FW oy course but the ammo-cages are 100% self-invented/made. Thanks to a great coincidence I have a lot of these plastic tubes in which a Manticore missile fits in properly.

My wife works at a backery shop. When she prints out bills for customers these plastic tubes are left over, when the paper is empty. My idea was to gather them in 6-packs where missiles are being stored and carried away by the power lifters in order to add some realism to my table tob battlefields. I didn´t glue the missiles so they can be attached wherever you like (these are the ones I didn´t use for the Mantocore)
