Thank you my friend. I think I have a red I'm happy with, so I hope to get some models posted soon. I will be building a 2000 point army using "The Day of Revelation" rite of war. I'm planning on:

Praetor w/Jump Pack

3 x 15 man Assault Squads

1 x Javelin Speeder

2 x Leviathan Siege Dreadnoughts w/Dreadnought Drop Pods

1 x Deathstorm Drop Pod

I worked through ten of the first fifteen man squad. I’m going for MkV with fairly diverse armor components.

I finished the first of two Dreadnought Drop Pods. This is not a well designed model. Its pinned with brass rod, and the hinge points were reinforced with plastic card.

Thanks! You're keeping me motivated. I finished the first Leviathan. Compared to that Drop Pod, it was a real pleasure to put together.

My Javelin Speeder, with Assault Cannon. I used a FW heavy Bolter with the barrel and sight removed, along with the plastic terminator's assault cannon barrels and magazine.

I think it would actually look better on the bottom, as it's fairly large. Given the slope of the forward part of the hull, the easiest place is to replace the sensor mask assembly with the gun. It is a shame they don't allow the load out in 40k. Bolting on a different weapon must be some sort of Tech Heresy.

I really like the weathering you do for your BA.  Any chance I can get a run down on how you do it?

Also bolting a different gun onto a vehicle is the literally definition of tech heresy for the Admech lol :P

I would keep it as is though.  The conversion was well done and looks good imo.

Thanks MrFlutterPie. The weathering is actually pretty easy. I complete all the detail painting, including transfers. On the infantry I applied a Nuln Oil wash to the feet and fingers. Then I use a fine tip detail brush to apply Typhus Corrosion to sharp corners, edges, and elbows and knees. A lot of people like to apply this sort of weathering with a sponge, but it's never worked for me. I just carefully put down the paint where I want it. I will drybrush very sparingly to create streaking effects. You really have to be careful not to overdo it. (Unless you're painting Death Guard) last, I go back with Leadbelcher and pick out bare metal on edges, corners, and high wear areas. I don't use any wash on these areas after painting. I seal the mini with Army Painter Anti Shine Matt Varnish.

Again, supreme painting. Love the weathering, not overdone but still like they have been fighting for some time.

Those seem to be made from Calth MKIV with MKVII arms, what jump packs did you use? I looking to get some Assaults done like that for my BA since FW Assaults are so expensive.

Thanks. You're right, they're Calth legs, various GW arms and weapons,FW Blood Angel upgrade heads and torsos. I had jump packs from Mk IV Assault Marines and Destroyer Squad. I got the last 5 I needed from eBay. I entertained using Sanguinary Guard plastic jump packs, but they lack engraved lines on the top, and have a large recessed panel line around the perimeter of the jump pack's main engine. They don't match well with the resin units. If I didn't already have 10 resin ones I would have gone all plastic. They are easier and cheaper to find on eBay, and you don't run the risk of getting recasts.
