Combined Squads.

Hi, Im working on an army list for my AM regiment and I have a question about the "combined squads" rule.

If 2 squads, each with 10 men, 1 flamer and a sergeant are combined, thoes that mean it becomes a 20 man squad with 2 flamers and 2 sergeants? Fluffwise my Regiment prefers assaulting with large mobs of infantry so I would like to know how to represent this with the minis.

Thank you!

I cant seem to find him on the GW webpage. (Sorry for the big picture, I couldnt find a smaller one).

Yes, I suppose. I wanted that mini for my platoon command since I will be using the "trench-coat" bits from the C.CS with some bits from the Scions CS to make my general. Hmmm, guess I will have to see if I can find him on Ebay or some bits to make something similar.

One final (probably :P) question: Im working out the fluff for my regiment and they are specialist heavy infantry. To represent this I want to sculpt this kind of armour on the guardsmen, but still counting as flak armour:

Whats your thought on this? Would it be too confusing for oponets (though I rarely play anyways, so its not that much of a concern) and how would I best be able to represent carapace armour, maybe with trench-coats or scions armour.

Regarding the Officer model: I feel the same way. I came across mine from a mate but he had filed the imperial icons off. I will overcome this by painting freehand symbols on those spots so it might work out for the best. Keep hunting because the models are still out there just VERY rare now.

Regarding the armour: Most of the opponents I have played don't mind (and some really appreciate) changes in the look of model representations as long as they can still easily distinguish between unit types in a complex multiple combat. The cloaks sound like a great way to distinguish the elite units from 'normal' guard units.

Good luck!

Most probably wouldn't notice or care, the problem would be that you're using an actual armour to represent something else so there's a high risk of confusion for someone who notices. You could use Scions for carapace though as visually they're quite different to Cadian style carapace.

Thank you, I just checked out FW and found this sword/sabre:

Its more or less what Im looking for, I know the Cadian Command Squad has one with a bionic arm. I was wondering if there where others.
