Thanks Rhap.

I was looking at the game mats. but i actually built this for around $100 Aud.

At that price i paid for the basing of all my models and terrain as well.

20kg of tiling sand, its exactly the same as base sand, but only $8.

4 litres of pva was $14

the boards for the table and screws were $35

4 cans of spray paint was $10

board for the bases was only $8

still have the table edging and some nails to buy. this should be another $20

It all sits on an old drawing table that i got for free. the table tilts so it can rotate the board 90 degrees to the vertical for storage.

spent 1 full day one it. and a few extra hours for the green goo.....

I kept the colors similar to the space wolves colors I have been using.

The fluff is that it is a world that is loyal to the space wolves/ close to fenris. over run by orks.

space wolves head in and take the world back.

you cant see it in this picture but the inside on the buildings is red as well.

Started working on a debris field for a small 5+ cover save terrain peice.

I have used the spare parts from the Storm wolf/fang sprues.

Can also work as an objective / trying to reclaim the Hellfrost cannon for a naritave campaign or something.

I feel like it is missing something though... any thoughts or ideas as to what to add to it?

More wolfness for the board.

old plastic wolf head from a matchbox set my son no longer uses.

Some rocks from the garden, based and undercoated.

Cool wolf head! As for the terrain piece with the helfrost cannon, maybe a bit of the side of the flyer (molded from it of course), or try burying the cannon a bit under dirt/snow/brush to hide it a little, make it look like it wasn't just dropped from a crane.

Yeah I think ill try to bury it some more.

I think you put your finger on what is bothering me.

"Looks like it dropped from a crane" exactly sums it up.

I still have like 15kg of sand so thats not an issue.

Still need to use some more on the wolf head to fill it all in as well.

I have been very lucky to live in the countries I do.

I also live close to around 4 games workshop stores. one is massive with around 8 -10 tables which is nice.

But want to start a small league and narative campaign. maybe some youtube videos as well.

I just started setting up my man cave to play in. will have to post some pictures of my wolf cave as well.

thank for the compliment man. WOLF LAIR ... loving that... if you dont mind I will steal that.... while I was born in NZ my family immigrated from Scotland from a town called Biggar. Im hoping to head to you part of the world... Im a big scotch snob.... want to do a tour of the distileries in scotland.

Once I get some Wolfy Art up I will repost some pictures.

Got the ale fridge coming soon. there are shelves covering the entire wall on two walls of the Garage as well. we store chips and snack in there. once the fridge is in I wont ever have to leave on a gaming day or night.

Table folds away and he car still fits in the garage as well.

Living in the tropics we can get big nasty storms here and hale so bad it cant write off even a Rhino...

except to errrrr....... mark my territory...... cough cough....

Does anyone know where to get good space wolf art or 40k art/posters?

would love to see everyone elses tables and Wolf Lairs.I you have them if would love to see them, so please feel free to hijack / post them in this topic.

What?!? Leave the lair? Me thinks you need to install a porta-potty. I rent a wee 2 bderoom house, for my wife, me and the little nurgling!! I have a tiny cluttered shed and a cupboard uner the stairs in which my Wolves call home :(

Hmmm.... Didn't Biggar have a really nice ice cream place?

I have never been on the whisky trail, but I heard its really good. And a nice way to see the countryside too.

Not sure how these would look printed off, otherwise ask the local GW if they have any old posters or banners in the store room you could lay your hands on.

Yes i am lucky to have the space for sure. I have not been to scotland myself yet. but I really look forward to it.

I imagine its probarly cheaper to buy massed produced posters.... either that or try my hand at it and see what come out of it....

That could be the next project.

I reckon i could use the basing material and make some wolf totems / big symbols to hang on the walls.

Cut it all and hand paint it....
