Space Wolves by Adam - VI Legion Vlka Fenryka

Recommended Posts

Thanks! What I discovered painting this one, is that it is best for me to apply battle damage with a sponge right after painting the armour, because other details won't get affected that way. Actually it's the first mini where I am quite satisfied with how it's done.

It seems I started work on my already assembled Stormwolf, lets see how that goes... More in the WIP thread probably

Love the eyes, VERY wolfy.

Questions:

The red on your lonewolves looks incredible.  How did you acheive that result?

The kneeling skyclaw: where did you get the legs?  Did you convert the legs from the SW GH/BC kit or are they from some other source.  After seeing yours and your source inspiration, I think I have to copy that!

Thanks,

Thanks! But you better not look into them TOO much, I'm pretty sure wolves don't like it

For the red - first I learned this tutorial for yellow - http://fantasygames.com.pl/blog/painting-yellow-pads/

Then I just used the same technique with the red, and thats it. I use the regular GW paints - khorne red, carrobourg crimson, evil suns scarlet, wild rider red and bloodletter.

Legs - its from the regular previous set of legs for the tactical squad (I think), they came in both the devastator squad and the reclusiam command squad, for example.

Yeah. If they're wearing the armor when it's applied then who goes, "I want it right HERE!" *Points forcefully at inner thigh.*

Anyway, to keep this on topic, I have nothing helpful or intelligent to add, just that you have some sexy painting skills that I covet highly.

Cheers,

Branchow

Hey Guys!

Slowly but steadily, the PA guys mentioned above are being finished. Here are 2 from the special weapons division:

Thanks Flint13! It's a bit augmented by the light on this pic, but still I'm very proud of it :smile.:

As I am departing for 10 days, with low internet access, I decided to make a group photo of the wolfies so far finished:

I noticed many people here like army shots, so that's mine so far.

Long time not been here, not so much time for painting as I would like to have. Anyway, here are my 2 new wolfies - Wolf Guard and Lone Wolf. Enjoy please

Thanks Guys! As always, even more motivation thanks to you. I'm especially glad about your comment, Flint13, about the moodiness - I received a simlar comment on the Polish boards for WH40k, and I really try to make the minis have some character, not only to be well paointed. Thanks for that! :smile.:

Thanks Kassill!

So I used the new airbrush paints, namely Fenrisian and Russ Grey, with my brush, and I'm really happy with the results (1 GH and 2 BC):
